  1. The idea of morse/sandoval is awesome! I dont thi k they can pull it off, but man it would be awesome
  2. that is not what I said, but if thats what you read.. okay? nowhere did I say the brewers should wait for other teams... I said we, as in THE FANS. The brewers are going to make their moves and fill holes internally and from FA (something that I did not think I needed to state in my post, but apparently I should have), but be real here, there are fans posting here that the brewers are going to struggle in the division next year (as a matter of fact, not opinion) and THIS season isnt over!! No one knows what moves or changes are going to happen to other teams this winter, and it happens that one team is VERY young and inexperienced and another is losing 3/5th of their rotation. so again, from the pages of mr. rodgers... R-E-L-A-X.
  3. how about we wait and see what the other teams in the central do this offseason before we start suggesting the brewers are finished next year before they start this years world series. The only team we can count on being back is the Cardinals, and only because its the Cardinals. The Pirates will be a different team next year, the Reds will be a question mark with players aging and returning from injuries, the Cubs are all young players, who knows how they'll bounce back for a full MLB season... the Brewers are in a good spot for next season in my opinion.
  4. as entertaining and electric Gomez is, i'd rather cash in on this now, because we've all seen how bad he can be at the plate, and i'd rather avoid missing out on a solid return for him should he regress now that coaches are starting to be replaced.
  5. [sarcasm]he probably petitioned to bring back yuni b for first base in 2015[/sarcasm]
  6. I meant sides as in players, not teams.
  7. glad for him, but im just as happy now as I was when they got Gomez for him. worked out for both sides, IMO
  8. I am also into signing Andy LaRoche, for moral support of his brother Adam, if that'd be appealing to Adam to come to Milwaukee. He can play 3B and act as a backup for Pablo as needed! someone call Doug up, he needs to hire me asap to help him build a contender!
  9. simple solution 1.) spend lots of money to sign LaRoche and Pablo Sandoval 2.) win lots of games 3.) ???????? 4.) win the world series
  10. I think, and hope, that herrera OR gomez get the shot ahead of Bianchi. we saw enough of him, time to move on and look at other Util IF options
  11. I agree! plus, Siggy started to swing the bat well in september! .319/.389/.753 is a lot better than the rest of his season, and not far off from his numbers overall from 2013.
  12. close on the record... LOL at my all stars LOL at my biggest disappointment SO CLOSE on Playoffs... LETS GO NATS!!! KEEP MY FINAL PREDICTION ALIVE!
  13. this is a good point, and we all know that money talks in sports, so I wonder how much losing on-air ad plays will impact any rule to speed up the game
  14. that 20-second rule will be interesting! would be really crazy if it also applied with runners on base
  15. Sure thing, anything to make you happy, but I hope you plan to scold all the other RRR anti-supporters on this site. I know I am not the only one tooting that horn. That being said, I don't think this team needs to be torn down and start from scratch at all. I think the nucleus to a playoff team is here, we just need to fine tune a bit. It is obvious that we need a 1B that can put up some big offensive numbers. The band aids we have been trying to use just aren't going to cut it. I think if we can get that taken care of, we will be able to make a run at the 2015 playoffs as long as we also have a 3B in place, be it Aramis or a free agent type. Our starting pitching shouldn't miss a beat. Peralta is growing up before our very eyes, we know what we will be getting from Gallardo, Lohse, and Garza, which leaves one spot that might have some uncertainty. I can't imagine why we wouldn't go into the 2015 season with Fiers as our #5. He deserves it, he has earned it, so let him be the guy!!!! Segura needs to step up and prove he is our guy, I think he has earned another shot too given all the turmoil in his life this past season. I am not down on the 2015 squad, but I do think there needs to be a change in the coaching staff from top to bottom and get a fresh look on things with a new regime... Things aren't as bad as some are saying, but there will need to be some change if we plan on playing next October. Change can be good... please toot your antiRRR rants in any other thread but this one. OPTIMISM is this thread, tearing down someone or players is not the point of this thread, use this to talk about the POSITIVES for next year
  16. my day of mourning has passed on the brewers season, LETS GO BUCS!
  17. Tyler Cravy , right 25, also of Milwaukee and this year saw action in the Rookie League , AA and AAA , leaving 8-1 record and 1.72 ERA in 15 starts with 17 duels in 82.2 innings, 76 strikeouts and 20 tickets . Worth noting that the eight victories achieved in AA in 14 games ( 12 starts ) .
  18. Imma just say it, keep it positive here! If you want to rag on a player, coach, manager, owner, please post in any other thread on the forum! I for one like RRR, made some odd choices, but the team is built to make a run in the next year or two, IF they make a change they need to get someone with solid experience and a track record of success.
  19. sure, he hit .302 in the second half, in 47 of the 66 games, and only getting 125 at bats.. which is less than half of the AB of an every day player, so yeah, he did pretty well in the second half, getting select opportunities.
  20. twins have reportedly fired Gardenhire, so looks like Molitor may get his shot there sooner than we think
  21. HEY EVERYONE! DONT BE GLUM! TURN THAT FROWN UPSIDE DOWN! Yeah, we just went through an epic collapse, but with the bad comes the good! We can all enjoy the fall weather! Pumpkins, candy, pie, beer, its all still good to go! I believe that Mark and Doug will do what they need to address 1B this winter, just as they have addressed the rotation the past couple! I STILL BREWLIEVE 2015 WILL BE OUR YEAR! As Coach Taylor once said "CLEAR EYES, FULL HEARTS...
  22. its the number of world series his team went to while he owned them
  23. Records of lower level teams doesn't necessarily translate into successful teams in AAA. I realize its not a guarantee, but EVERY level below AAA this year found success of some form. hell, so did AAA. 30 games below .500 in 2012, 10 in 2013 and over 500 in 2014 with every level below winning. I dont see how you cant view this franchise minor league system as improving and finding success
  24. im glday theyre doing something and not just trying to see if it heals on its own. also glad that this procedure cant make it worse if it doesnt work.
