  1. $25 a day for how many meals? dinner? lunch and dinner? breakfast lunch and dinner? $25 doesnt really get much depending on how many meals you are trying to cover with it.
  2. http://www.theplayerstribune.com/left-out/ this.
  3. I support this, but in my mind, Parra plays more because of his superior defensive abilities than his batting abilities. Its a shame Davis cant play anywhere but LF... if the OF was Parra, Gomez, Braun and Shaffer as the 4th? YES PLZ.
  4. wasnt he supposed to have surgery last season but opted out of it?
  5. Best of luck to Larry Sanders, I dont follow the Bucks much, but for anyone at his age to walk away from 20 million dollars for his own personal health... good for him. I dont know the extent of his mental illness, but having family that struggles with depression, anxiety and mood disorders, I really do hope the best for him. It is extremely difficult to own your illness, and it seems like he is and is taking it head on.
  6. well... that Bonilla is beyond an extreme example because it was tied to a Ponzi scheme... not at all similar to what is happening in Milwaukee. The only reason that deal was made was because the owner thought the return he was getting from Madoff was going to cover Bobby's deferrment.
  7. exactly, thats a great mindset!!
  8. literally the first thing that popped into my head when I saw this pop up on my newsfeed on my phone... http://www.gw2wvw.net/sites/default/files/hide.jpg
  9. the penalty is going to be with fines, not balls/strikes, and the fines will be minimal. According to the rule book, it's a strike if the batter is not in the box. • When players violate one of the new rules -- by not being ready to pitch or hit when the clock counts down or when a hitter leaves the batter's box between pitches -- they are subject to fines up to $500 per violation. However, umpires are expected to be instructed not to go out of their way to indicate that a player has committed a violation. Instead, they would be told just to mark down the infraction on their card, much the way they would if there was an equipment violation. http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/12375199/mlb-explains-changes-pace-game-policy
  10. seeing as how the record signing bonus prior to this was $9 million, I dont think offering $15 million is "trolling". Its almost double the record offering
  11. just say what you;re getting at, you want a salary cap in baseball like in the NFL
  12. its unfortunate because he could have been a solution to the depth void at 3B.
  13. Red Sox To Sign Yoan Moncada By Steve Adams [February 23, 2015 at 8:11am CST] The Red Sox and Cuban infielder Yoan Moncada have reached agreement on a signing bonus in the range of $30MM, reports MLB.com’s Jesse Sanchez (via Twitter).
  14. signed with the red sox
  15. TODAY IS THE DAY!!!! MLB GROUNDHOGS DAY!!!! 6 WEEKS UNTIL THE SEASON BEGINS! PITCHERS AND CATCHERS REPORT! THE EXCITEMENT BEGINS!!!
  16. the penalty is going to be with fines, not balls/strikes, and the fines will be minimal.
  17. man, him backing up Rami and learning from him and then becoming the everyday 3B next year? YES PLZ VERY MUCH!
  18. if he can play 3B all signs should point towards Milwaukee for him as there is NOTHING in his way.
  19. having watch Clint Hurdle walk out to the umpire numerous times and not get replays, I am glad the first rule is happening. He's not the quickest man, add he was incredibly hurt last season, but if a catcher can see the coaches give them signs, clearly the umpire can turn his head and look at the coach to see about a replay.
  20. are games slower in September than the rest of the season when they expand to 40?
  21. I will buy one of those bobbles. so amazing
  22. looking at those numbers it just depresses me they lost in game 7 that year to team of the Greatest Baseball Fans™
  23. 93 Blue Jays were pretty darn good. Olerud, Molitor, Alomar, Carter, but I think that was more because of my fandom of Molitor than anything else. Growing up in Erie, PA i'd catch bluejays games across the lake on our antennae, it was awesome.
  24. More players to pay is more like it. Imagine the Brewers have to pay 3 more Major League players. They're not getting more money to spend but they have more players they need to pay. And that's less money for them to sign free agents or more importantly lock up young guys. The superstars will still get paid their $150 or $200 million deals, but everyone else is going to take a little bit of a hit. I dont think paying 3 more players is going to break any teams bank, especially a team in the smallest market already with 100 million on payroll. 3 more players for the brewers could all be league minimum, which is $1.5 million total. not really breaking the bank by any means
