  1. amen to that. though, Baltimore, St Louis and Toronto already have theirs... I just really hope no other Brewers MLB'rs are on that list...
  2. did garza have something in his contract about his health?
  3. the names are not apart of the DEA investigation, so they'll probably be released to MLB sooner than any of us expect
  4. I feel like some posters have definitely ended up on at some point. LOL i follow that account and I swear they rip some of them straight from the gameday threads!
  5. UGH dunlap is... probably the worst pittsburgh media person in pittsburgh. he's nothing but a troll.
  6. Per GM Neal Huntington: @TheCUTCH22 has been diagnosed with an avulsion fracture involving the costochondral cartilage of the left 11th rib.
  7. sometimes I feel like im reading the comments of the journal sentinal on here
  8. lets wait until the Garza start and see who actually starts before we bury someone over it, okay?
  9. just FYI, TJ Quinn just tweeted that more names will be released tied to Biogenesis, that the DEA is releasing that information and that there will be more suspensions coming from this. EDIT: Link to said tweet:
  10. no way do I trade him, he's been lights out since coming off the DL.
  11. from my understanding, the HBP was part of it, it probably caused tightness in his core which the next day caused a strained oblique from taking a hack at a pitch. the HBP itself didnt cause the injury, but I dont doubt it aided it happening, if that makes sense
  12. OP, a quick way to see organizational stats in the minors on one page is on baseball reference, incase you want to update and add these links instead of individual team. http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/MIL/2014-organization-pitching.shtml?redir http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/MIL/2014-organization-batting.shtml?redir
  13. you know the brewers are on his no trade list, right?
  14. I love the pirates, they take 2nd fiddle to the brewers obviously, but growing up in western PA they were my NL team since the brewers were in the AL. going to the game tonight against Miami, it'll be interesting to see what kind of a team they have on the field. they signed Nix a couple days ago to be a UTIL IF guy since Harrison was getting the everyday job at 3B. how the OF will be configured will be interesting, too... but both Marte and Polanco are CFer's playing corner OF spots... losing McCutchen for a couple weeks will have a huge impact not only in the lineup but on the field.
  15. Pirates have also demoted Pedro Alvarez to the bench, Harrison is starting at 3B every day. Neil Walker is having back spasms Polanco, the savior, is a rookie batting like a manchild Cole is still on the DL in Arizona now Marte is, I think? coming back from the DL today oh, and their bullpen is a hot mess
  16. and his $14 million dollar contract for 2015?
  17. heck, his last 10 games stats are pretty dang good.. 10 games, 6 starts, 5-0, 3 Saves, 1.22 ERA, 51.2 IP, 7 ER, 2 HR, 9 BB, 63 K with opponents hitting .176 off him
  18. infact, I swear that there have been at least one or two instances where he Elian Hererrra'd the ball.
  19. I didn't realize he's been that bad. Are his issues fielding related, throwing related, or both? far more throwing than fielding... he's got a cannon of an arm that cant seem to find its target... ever.
  20. probably for the same reason Pirates fans think Pedro Alvarez could move from 3B to 1B with no issues... complete blind optimism. "I mean, if Yuni can do it, Braun totally can" If a guy can competently play 3B, there's absolutely no question he'll be able to play 1B with no issues after a small amount of playing time there. Someone like Braun, who was completely awful at 3B... now that's a different story. Alvarez IS completely awful at 3B. he has committed 109 errors in 5 seasons, already at 24 errors this year and has been demoted to bench duties because of it (and the fact he's been terrible at the plate).
  21. so Goldschmidt out 8 weeks froma broken hand after getting hit by Frieri on Friday night in the 9th inning. Freiri has been awful, so I cant imagine hitting Goldschmidt was on purpose.. so hitting McCutchen in the 9th inning on Saturday was clearly retaliation for Goldy getting hit.
  22. I was pretty "meh" this year with our 1B platoon, basically because anything is better than Yuni... but come on, after that Overbay error on saturday that, and im saying this just completely because I can and its 100% fact, Overbay cost them the win on Saturday with that bonehead error... I am offically Over... bay. GET IT? I'll keep Reynolds only because he's gotten half his hits from homers this year, but im done with the O.
