  1. Or just lock it because it's about the Cardinals and I don't care about them and don't want a thread dedicated to them (whether it be about them scuffling or not) at the top of the board every damn day. this. please lock this thread.
  2. IF Lee gets traded anywhere the Phillies will eat at least half of that contract. No one is going to trade for Lee and his full contract.
  3. i'll say it, the three things the Brewers need to win the division are: 1.) the cardinals to lose more games 2.) the reds to lose more games 3.) the pirates to lose more games
  4. yeah i just read that he will be playing tomorrow

  6. I check each teams box scores every day through this thread, and I typically only visit the thread once, the day after to do this. I dont really read the articles all that often, nor do I watch videos or listen to anything, I just look at numbers and stats from the boxscores, i'll scroll through the posts, but if nothing pops out i'll just move on. I love that you guys do this though
  7. 4 I believe 1982 2007 2011 2014
  8. a full season is 183 service days, 11 more than what constitutes 1 year of service (172 days). as has been posted before, all of 2015 and 2016 would be 366 days of service (2.022 years), he already has 28 days from last year and this year (2.050 years), so the remaining total to stay below the 2 years, 122 day threshold is 72 days (2.122). They are clearly operating on the assumption that the Super2 cut off will be higher than last years lowest
  9. at the AS Break, after 96 games, this is the production we have received from 1B.. 39 Runs, 77 hits, 15 doubles, 1 triple, 10 Hrs, 39 RBI's with 40/98 BB/K and a tripslash of .222/.304/.662 thats between 4 players playing 1B, 876.0 Innings, with 822.0 coming from Reynolds/Overbay and the remaining 54 from Lucroy/Maldy. while bullpen help can be fixed with Henderson/Thornburg returning... they have no internal solutions to help at 1B! This is pretty terrible! This was the 2013 1B production from 7 players 58 Runs, 121 hits, 27 Doubles, 3 Triples, 21 HRs, 86 RBIs 38/171 BB/K Trip Slash of .206/.259/.629
  10. I love how these announcers have now mentioned Braun and PED's twice and Peralta and PED's zero times when they were both involved in the same damn scandal.
  11. guys, if they win today they'll still be in first place! ONE DAY AT A TIME! WWCTD? Probably give a great inspirational speech "Give all of us gathered here tonight the strength to remember that life is so very fragile. We are all vulnerable, and we will all, at some point in our lives... fall. We will all fall. We must carry this in our hearts... that what we have is special. That it can be taken from us, and when it is taken from us, we will be tested. We will be tested to our very souls. We will now all be tested. It is these times, it is this pain, that allows us to look inside ourselves."
  12. I I BELIEVE I BELIEVE THAT I BELIEVE THAT WE WILL WIN I BELIEVE THAT WE WILL WIN I BELIEVE THAT WE WILL WIN
  13. Yeah, but what is the cost of a Super Two status? I don't remember if it has been estimated in another thread. Let's assume Super Two would cost a million bucks, is one start worth that? Obviously it is not my money, so if MA wants to spend it that is fine with me. But if you were willing to spend a million on a fractional win, then it seems to me we can find better more bang for our buck elsewhere to improve on the win total. And it isn't going to matter if the Brewers don't start hitting. they can call him up, start the game, send him down the next day until july 22nd/23rd and not have to worry about super 2.
  14. I would rather have Nelson pitch against the Cardinals for the first time ever than Estrada pitch against the Cardinals ever again
  15. He must be some player then! I see him on the highlights but otherwise I'm unfamiliar. On the Reds: sure enough they gained ground on ALL seven NL post season contenders last night. Pretty scary. That's really hard to do. Surely the Cubs can get one tonight...........NOT! Abreu has 26 hrs as a rookie
