  1. I was 13 laying on the floor with my brother and dad watching the NBA finals
  2. HEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYYYYYYY GUUUUUUUUUUYYYYYSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS ITSSSS HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPEEEEEENNNNNNNNNNNIIIIIIINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
  3. I only want him if he can play in the OF in the playoffs
  4. it was that combo, outfield is and will be for a very long time, Marte, McCutchen, Polanco. Tabata is the 4th OF, Snider is.... hopefully gone.
  5. Haudricourt notes on Twitter 35 of the 45 earned runs allowed this year by Estrada, a non-tender candidate entering his second arbitration year this winter, have come on home runs. *gif of head exploding*
  6. next starts in colorado, I think fiers gets that start since he's already up here
  7. send Fiers to AAA, move Estrada to the Pen and put Nelson in the rotation, problem solved (for now until Thorny/Gorzy/Hendy are healthy)
  8. they have 3 CFs playing every day, they have hands down the best defensive OF in the league with Polanco out there. Polanco being called up is like the second coming of christ-lemente to this city. but there is still outrage they waited this long just to "avoid" super2, especially since they're just 3 under .500 right now.
  9. So obviously an Orioles fan....clearly not remembering that Nelson Cruz got busted too huh? exactly
  10. I think Cruz should HOPE he gets traded so Baltimore doesnt give him a QO
  11. yet Cruz gets no boo's for PED usage and a 50-game suspension LOL Yes, most guys don't get too much crap. The problem is Braun was an MVP and was way too vocal about his denial. Also, the thought out there is he ruined someone's life (the tester). I'm sure it's somewhat overblown, but he just came across as a wanker to the general public, hence the booing. Cruz is crushing. Could he have played 1b for us????? If Yuni can, anyone can. well if Baltimore falls below .500 he could be a very big trade chip for them in July. that bat in Miller Park? YES PLZ
  12. we'll just stop you right there
  13. yet Cruz gets no boo's for PED usage and a 50-game suspension LOL
  14. agree with this, too. Estrada serving as a long arm/middle reliever could really assist with keeping Thornburg/Kintzler/Smith from getting too many mid-game innings and keep them sharp for late inning use down the stretch. I get the feeling that this is whats going to happen later this summer
  15. I love Yo and everything he's done for the Brewers, but I'd love it even more if they could swing a trade for a team in need of a starting pitcher and trade Yo while his value is still pretty high....however unlikely it is to happen. when has a team, leading their division, traded off their "franchise" starting pitcher? Or any starting pitcher for that matter? Granted, if the team falls in the standings closer to the trade deadline, or falls "out of contention", i wouldn't be surprised if it happened, but not when they're leading the division.

  17. you guys think Block will still be here when Uecker retires?
  18. its been made known that he wont clear waivers to even make working a trade out with the pirates possible
  19. also, Hart is expected to miss 4-6 weeks on the DL, i'd be shocked if the M's dont resign Morales at this point
  20. Because he was signed after opening day he can't be offered a QO this offseason. exactly, he wont have to worry about Boston stunting his FA opportunities with a QO this fall/winter.
  21. into all of those!
  22. Red Sox To Sign Stephen Drew By Steve Adams [May 20, 2014 at 1:48pm CDT] The Red Sox have reached an agreement with Stephen Drew, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports (Twitter link). Jon Heyman of CBS Sports tweets that Drew is getting the pro-rated version of the qualifying offer ($14.1MM) on a one-year deal, meaning that Drew will be paid roughly $10.17MM. Drew is represented by Scott Boras. Drew’s value this offseason was weighed down by a number of factors. He rejected a $14.1MM qualifying offer last November, meaning that any team (other than Boston) that wished to sign him would have to forfeit its top unprotected pick. Additionally, there were a lack of teams that were willing to spend and had a clear need for an upgrade at shortstop. The asking price of both Drew and Boras likely also weighed on interested parties.
  23. you think he'd have those numbers playing in the NL Central? 36 K's in 102 AB (26 games!)! I mean, that is awful, sure he's hitting for power and what not but lets temper our frustration with losing him since he's played half the time everyone else has
  24. its raining in chicago so it might end up being a night game lol
