  1. seeing as he's also not a free agent until 2016, he's got value in that he's a controlled cost for the brewers or any team. in arbitration, he'll probably get around $1.0/1.2 million for next season.
  2. Peralta has only allowed 1 ER in his last 4 starts. gotta think he's starting to turn the corner on his dreadful season
  3. BRING ON THE CARDS!!!!!
  4. 2 of 3! LETS GO! CONFIDENCE BUILDInG SERIES!!!
  5. YOU NEED TO SAY NO MORE! 1 DOWN, 76 WINS TO GO! 1.000 HERE ON OUT!
  6. brewers apparently have a 5 yr $100mil offer out there, according to Heyman on Twitter
  7. Cain has been hurt all year so he would not be our starting CF. Jeffress would be worse than much of what we have in our bullpen. Escobar would be nice to have. His bat has been good this year but his BABIP is off the charts so his average will drop some. Still a better SS than we are running out there. Odorizzi would be great to have, but until he has a lot of major league success I wont regret the Greinke trade. 2 games from the World Series and Zach should bring us back some value in the trade market this year. how do you know Cain would have even gotten hurt to begin with in Milwaukee. Just because it happened in KC doesnt mean it would have happened here. and I was just playing around. I love the Greink. I am happy he is here and I hope that he signs here!
  8. WHERE IS YOUR OPTIMISM! ITS A NEW START, 77 GAMES, JUST HAD A 4 DAY BREAK! SEE THE SUN BREAK THROUGH THE DARK CLOUDS! .800 down the stretch, LETS GO!
  9. where would we be had we never traded for Greinke and only traded for Marcum? O'rizzi starting in the rotation Escobar starting SS Cain in CF (wouldnt have picked up Morgan) Jeffress in the pen oh, and no time with Yuni Benancourt. for how far we got last season... can we take back the trade?
  10. THEY CAN DO IT!
  11. no, that defeats the point. come out of the gate optimistic, deal with the results later.
  12. you dont need anything when you make the trade happen and it leads to the brewers winning the world series! MAKE IT HAPPEN DM. MAKE. IT. HAPPEN.
  13. I KNOW, BUNCH OF NEGATIVE NANCYS HERE.
  14. i am optimistic the brewers will win .750 of the rest of the games
  15. If they could somehow unload Ramirez and Weeks they definitely could afford Greinke. I think they could sign him without trading off weeks, they'd be free of the 10/16 mil aram will be making and also could pass on Wolf's additional year of 10 mil, so thats 20 mil for next season free that could go to Zach, plus they'll have 7.5 and 8 mil free from Marcum/KRod. that third year they could allocate the 16 mil for aram and only have to "find" 4 mil+ more.
  16. trade Aram, use that money to sign Greinke
  17. I really enjoy Ramirez, but if the brewers do start to sell, this could be another piece to try to stock up the farm. what players in the Dodgers farm would be interesting to get?
  18. POSITIVE THINKING PEOPLE, POSITIVE THINKING. IT WILL BREED POSITIVE RESULTS. LETS GO BREWERS! WIN 'EM ALL! BURN 'EM DOWN!
  19. take your lack of optimism out of here! brewers have the ability to win at a .700 clip!
  20. I'd say that the entire Pirates team is suspect outside of McCutcheon and Hanrahan. Do they even have another player on the roster that is above average? Do you want to rely on James McDonald, AJ Burnett and Kevin Correia? I don't think I'd trade any player on the Brewers for their counterpart on the Pirates except for our CF platoon for McCutcheon. It can't and won't last. Hopefully I don't eat my words this weekend. Pirates are my #2 team, but I am 100% with you. McDonald is on pace for over 200IP, he had 171 last year with a 4+ ERA, the most innings he's pitched. I dont think he'll keep his level of dominance up. Mccutchen and Walker are the two hitters I think are for real on the team, the rest are all mediocre at best
  21. I agree. I think the series against the Pirates this weekend is the biggest series going forward. cards and reds are good teams, but the pirates are riding high on some over-acheivers right now.. its a must win series
