  1. Tampa’s OF isn’t very good. Maybe they’d want Cain if we chipped in some money to roam CF for their great pitching staff.
  2. They let Claudio take as many warm-ups as he wanted, which means he was an injury replacement. Wonder if Chacin tweaked something during his AB? Yeah, I must’ve missed it. Sitting in LF bleachers today.
  3. Brewers have one hit so far. Luckily it was a 2-run bomb or this game would be more pathetic.
  4. So they let Chacin hit but he doesn’t start the inning. Head scratchers all year from this team.
  5. Just like most things, the truth lies somewhere in the middle on this argument. Of course DJ matters. And of course our pitchers shouldn’t be straight bums on their own. For what it’s worth (ain’t much), I was told by someone that works for the Brewers that part of the reason he wanted out was the differences he had in the thought of how pitchers should be used and the analytical approach the Brewers have taken.
  6. Braun’s back to his MVP-self and is going to carry us to the playoffs!
  7. Hopefully Williams is ready to finally do his job consistently.
  8. I do agree with your thought here. But going into spring training having Hader, Knebel, JJ all lines up to be in the bullpen after dominating 2018. And adding a high upside arm in wahl, hopeful loogey in Claudio. How much more was he supposed to add going into the year? Not to mention still having Williams as potential but inconsistent. On paper going into spring training I would’ve said bullpen was a strength. People pitching in situations not advantageous to their success has hurt, ie guerra, Claudio. I do agree that bad luck has played a role in this season.
  9. Stearns whiffs in the bullpen have held this team back more than anything.
  10. Shaw will be just fine replacing Moose. Grandal has been a great offensive addition but I am questioning his part in how lousy our staff has become.
  11. Franchises like Tampa and Milwaukee should “collude” when one has an opportunity to win. Screw those big markets. /sorta blue
  12. Winning 90+ games in the market that we are is not an easy thing to do which would explain a lot of why the sustained success doesn’t happen much. Not only for us but for a lot of the bottom feeders. The Brewers are in a nice stretch as a franchise since 2008. If they continue on this path, luck will hopefully turn in their favor with a WS win or multiple playoff appearances.
  13. Then pitch better. I mean, it’s not to hard to stick in this pen full of rag arms. Pitch better and you stay.
  14. wut Into the bullpen. The bullpen...
  15. Did Stearns get lucky last year or is he really this bad at finding pitching talent? Last year looks more like the outlier.
