I think Schoop is 2B only from this point on which doesn't help the trade discussion over Villar.

I'd want Brewers management to do everything they can to tip the scales towards us. I don't know why people get in such a tizzy about the Cubs management doing what is best for their club. -

In an ideal world, the Brewers beat the Cardinals, Cubs, Dodgers and then the Red Sox or Stros to win the whole thing. Knock em all off. They'll never forget you. Make em do a Disney movie about you. -
Baez is really a fun guy to watch and a truly great interview. If he were on the Brewers everyone would love him (except old curmudgeons) That said... It's gonna be a fun two weeks, everybody. Get your popcorn ready. Javy Baez is a treat. He's electric on the field, plays hard, and seems to have a positive interaction with the media. I do wish he was on the Brewers, I enjoy watching him play baseball.

This! While the system depth did take a hit with all the deals, I wouldn't qualify any of the players given up as future cornerstone types. They also managed to weed out several guys in need of Rule 5 40-man protection, so that's a win-win as well. Just taking a look at the talented starting pitching staff Biloxi has this year makes me think that not only the immediate future is bright, but the long-range forecast is calling for sunny skies as well Please. Please. PLEASE remember this anytime we want to complain about not trading for an "ace". We have our stud farm rearing and ready to join as soon as next season all while making a playoff run this season.
