And I hate umpires who bail out a pitcher like that chump just did against Santana. MACHINES already!!!
-
Man I hate having pitchers hit. Just ugly.
-
Nice to get a run but it sure would've been nice to hit that grounder to 2B rather than pull off it.
-
He doesn't need you to make excuses for him. This was supposed to be another wasted season, that's how the team was built. Now we're surprised it's actually turning out that way. Oh, and the best options at SP ARE actually in the rotation. Hader, Burnes, Woodruff, Wilkerson and I am probably missing some, all should have been used as a starting pitcher before Blazek. Stearns didn't hit on really any bullpen arms. Did he go out and sign top end guys? No. But he whiffed on a closer and he's whiffed on just about any other arm he's brought in. Not only is he above true but as a team that kept winning games and building a lead, he sat on his hands even though it was very easy to see the true colors of this bullpen. He could have been proactive rather than reactive. He's failed this season. Hopefully he learns from it and the same with Counsell.
-
Oh come on. Stearns' fault that Blazek sucked? He was great in the CS rotation, he was the logical choice to get a start in a pinch. What would you have done? Nelson, Anderson, and Garza have all been better than expected out of the rotation. They're down 2 starters. I'm done with the excuses for Stearns. He can wear his mistakes just like anyone else. He failed to find quality arms for this pen. He has failed to make in season adjustments like allowing your best options at SP actually be in the rotation. He can wear his mistakes. He's a grown man. This will be another wasted season for the historic Milwaukee Brewers.

And then DFA all of them and ya know, try something different.
-
I'm rooting for 5 in a row now.
-
Hey good thing Hader can't make this starting rotation so we can see gems like Blazek is giving us. What a joke.
-
Just have him finish this game, treat it as an off day, and send Blazek away (hopefully for good) after this game. What a mess Stearns has given CC for pitchers.
-
Yeah keep striking em out! And giving up a 2-run bomb every other inning. This guy is an absolute turd nugget.
-
I guess the Yankees can just throw their next World Series banner on the pile, while the Brewers celebrate their 1982 World Series LOSS for the forseeable future and hang WILD CARD CHAMPION BANNERS at Miller Park. Fun. Again, dramatic. Gray isn't pushing this team over the top unless it comes with a new bullpen too. Gray is an above average pitcher who we don't need to put a bunch of resources into. There will probably be another Gray on the market next season if we need to go that route.
-
Blazek is still a turd. Nothing's changed.
-
Was just having a little fun! People act like he doesn't lose. We beat him twice a year ago. It happens. That's baseball. Did a nice job in the first of seeing 18 pitches at least.
-
Let em.

I saw something under Scherzer's name today that I wasn't sure what it was or meant. Can someone help me? So under the name it had the numbers 11 and 5 with a dash in between. It looked a lot like this: 11-5. Anyone know what this means?
-
We have traded Smith, Thornburg, and Jeffress. Relievers don't just grow on trees. None of those guys are his. The guys we are pitching tonight are. His job is to find them. He's whiffing badly.
-
Don't worry Swarzak will solve everything. Stearns is a putz when it comes to bullpens. This may be his downfall as a GM.
-
Nice job Counsell.
-
I just can't believe we took Hader out. I'm just stunned. The kid just put a nook in Harper's mouth and Counsell takes him out. Unbelievable. Beyond frustrating.
-
No luck whatsoever. Just stinks.
-
Pina with a great play there.

Brinson recalled, Garza to DL (leg strain)

I'm sorry but all this has just been too funny. -

Stearns must be being mentored by the master of silence, Doug Melvin. I do appreciate that about the Brewers. They handle their business without pushing out all of the news/rumors. It might be frustrating because we have to wait but I'd rather have no news than a bunch of rumors and one just happened to be right. -

x100... It is amazing how we don't appreciate a guy that turned 24 and is having a very good offensive year. Just continues to get better but a lot of fans just disregard him. -

If Brinson is traded for Darvish, I don't think I'll ever trust in Stearns again. The idea was to build for a long stretch. Not one shot at a maybe playoff year. Unless they have a deal in place to sign Darvish to a deal along with it, I want no part in any of that.
