He's 27 with this arguably being his first full year in the majors. Are we really going to over-react this much to a slump? Obviously it's less than ideal, but let Pina play 4/5 a week and Bandy is still exactly what you want in a backup. I hope Pina doesn't start catching 80% of the games. He will get worn down and we will have two guys batting .200. Every team has a dropoff to their 2nd catcher. I still hope Bandy gets 30% of the starts. Pina should be a lot more fresh than other catchers his age. He also hasn't been asked to catch everyday to start the season (38 starts so far). So if he started four of five or 80% of the rest of the games he would catch about 105-110 games. That's not asking a ton.
Anyone know if there is a story to the overhead clap more than "we just started doing it and now it's a thing"? Reminds me of the stupid Minnesota Vikings crap. Not a fan.
Brinson belongs back in AAA. Defensively and offensively. People get way too attached when it comes to a guy with top prospect status. Brinson will be fine. It's just not his time. And thats, okay.
Best guess for Villar and Braun would be Franklin and Brinson, correct? if we call Sogard the starter, it leaves a bench of C, Perez, Villar, and Jesus. We are gonna need him to hold off the Cubbies for the next 3 months.
For me it's good enough right now but I'd try as hard as I could to trade him. Consistency is just too high a priority for me and I just don't know if Broxton will ever be that. Consistency stops long losing streaks. Having few or no long losing streaks gets you in the playoffs or at least a great shot at them. As many consistent players you can find helps you do this.
As in retiring it?!? Umm wow isnthr Brewers history pathetic and shame on the current group to not realize how pathetic that is. Not retiring it, just not giving it to anyone. Still ridiculous.
There's going to be stretches like this during a season but I'm about done with Davies. He's just not my cup of tea as a pitcher to begin with and now the results are just not anywhere what they need to be.
Out of shape pro athletes annoy me. Peralta is definitely on that list. You're paid millions to play a game. Pay a chef and hop on a treadmill and get in shape. Might do wonders for Wily.
