  1. The guy for who? Who's going down? I believe you get a 26th man on double header days.
  2. Getting harder and harder to remember the good ole days with Thames. Probably should've held off on the Korean music, beard tahirt, etc...
  3. Pina needs to be starting 3/5 games now. He's better defensively and seems to be a little more consistent hitting.
  4. We really didn't deserve this one anyways. It'd be nice to win tomorrow though. Cubs ain't gonna lose out.
  5. Heart of the order for the 9th. Let's have someone else's bullpen meltdown for once.
  6. I don't get why Brinson wasn't up there. Get a guy up who can tie the game up. But I won't be shocked to see him stick even with the waive of players returning, they'll send down the pups.
  7. Bubba Derby's AAA debut: 6 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 3 K With Nottingham stroking it and playing some good D, that trade is looking better and better.
  8. Someone mentioned it earlier and I'm too lazy to look but Guerra needs to start pitching with a little more tempo. Holy was this start painful to watch and he never did really get in a rythum. Get it and throw it. Pitchers make crap way too complicated.
  9. Right now it is pretty close who is better at 1B between Thames and Aguilar anyways. DL Thames and let those legs actually heal.
  10. We've hit a few balls hard but no luck yet. Feels like a second time through kind of night.
  11. Santana might end up being the best hitter of the bunch but I continue to see him being overlooked.
  12. Well he's up so play him CC. Broxton needs about a week off from the whiplash he has from swinging through pitches anyways.
  13. You missed my point. Hader is a premier talent. The guy Counsell used instead is a fringe major league pitcher. It's comparable to bringing up Braun in 2007 and sitting him in favor of Counsell. Counsell has done a fine job this year but that doesn't make him immune to criticism. They've had trouble closing out games. A lot of that is on the pitchers but some of that is on the manager. You might have a great point if Hader had been up a week. He literally met the team at the ballpark. It was okay for CC to not wanting to put him out there game one. There will be plenty of opportunities. As it was, CC was aggressive enough use Knebel for 4 outs to secure a win.
  14. Can only have 40 men on the roster. Eventually some of these guys won't be apart of that. Hopefully Stearns gets hot when it comes to deciding that and moving on from the others.
  15. No. If they're bringing up a OF being up an actual OF. And with Thames and Aguilar there already, Cooper is going to have to wait for an injury or Aguilar to completely fall off. Can't hamstring our manager more than he already is with putting guys out of their natural positions.
  16. Yeah, what an idiot manager Counsell is. This team would be 20 games over if it wasn't for him incompetence. Just put Hader in the closers role already.
  17. Lots of complaining about a rebuilding team up 2 games on June 10th. Enjoy it guys. Good chance it doesn't last.
  18. Two game lead in the central on June 10th!
