  1. I had to check out his friends after you mentioned it. Wow. Lots of attractive women on there. I want to be friends with Mat's friends. Also, nice picture of him with an orange traffic cone pressed up against his pelvic region.
  2. I hate to post on here with out the stats to back up what I'm saying but I don't have the time to find it. On the Pirates broadcast last night they showed that Milwaukee is 2nd behind the Braves in the NL for hitting with runners in scoring position. Please correct me if I'm wrong but I swear I saw that.
  3. I was disappointed Looper didn't hit Karstens. Winning is the most important thing but still. If anyone caught the Pirates feed their own announcers said it looked obvious that he threw at Braun and that what needs to happen is that "Karstens needs to wear one in his next at bat to end this". I agree
  4. I'm reaching the point where I barely care who wins I just want this to be over. The ups and downs of this game are crazy.
  5. Not that Villy is finding the plate but I just don't like a pitching change with bases loaded and the game winner on third. It never seems to go well. The pressure on the pitcher that isn't loose yet... I don't feel good about this. YES!!! I meant that I like going to the pen here.
  6. Thanks, looked like it was on the track on Gameday.
  7. How close was Kendalls fly ball to being out? Following on Gameday...
  8. Quite simply the announcers job is to add to the game not take away from it. You may think that a lot of us who enjoy the superstition or tradition during a no hitter are crazy or stupid, that's fine. What Brian Anderson does during potential no hitters is take away from the game. Instead of us crazy people just enjoying the game, we're cringing and yelling at the tv every time he feels the need to say that Bush has a no hitter going. Therefore he's not doing his job. It's not just a few of us on this web site that feel that way either. His partner in the booth was trying to get him to stop. It's a tradition in baseball. I'm sure when he worked for the Golf Network he didn't talk real loud or yell during a golfers back swing. Why does he have to do this? Some of you got a real kick out of him "jinxing" Bush. Would you enjoy someone in any other phase of your life being a jerk just for the sake of being a jerk? The other part of all of this that B.A. should be ashamed of is that he took the focus for some of us away from Bush's performance and put it squarely on his big mouth.
  9. Amen to that liveforoctober. Thanks for saying what I've been trying to say all day. Also here's a clip of our fabulous new sideline reporter and part of the body of work that got him this job. http://www.youtube.com/wa...=RckOtO7iJnU and
  10. I love the sausage race. It was far better when they did have a predetermined winner though. My buddies and I would run like we were the sausages in gym class during our warm up jog. One guy sprinted out a head, everyone caught him and past him, then someone from the back would sprint ahead right before the gym teacher blew the whistle. It might sound dumb but it was a blast.
  11. Yes I realize that, it's just that you can tell he is doing to irritate people like me that enjoy baseball superstition.
  12. I think part of what makes him a grating d-bag is how he thinks he has mastered the art of calling a game. His thoughts on keeping himself at a 4 out of 10 early in the game and then elevating to a 10 out of 10 in big moments cemented it for me. You really can't just sit there and talk about the game? Your natural ability to know what is worth getting excited about and talk in the right tone isn't enough? The best announcers sound like your friend who is just talking about what he's seeing. With Brian it's like he had the announcing text book out and studied it and he comes off fake. I wish he would go back to the Golf Channel.
  13. Him talking about a no hitter through out the game. Him acting like a routine fly ball to the outfield has a chance to get out. Him barely commenting on a long fly ball to the warning track. I can't stand the guy.
  14. I have no doubt it was an accident by Lidge. Phillies fans cheering the hit batter is just garbage though.
  15. Sorry going to have to disagree with you there. I think Philly fans are the worst no matter what sport is being played. Knowledgable, yes. Classy, no.
  16. How about these Phillies fans! Cheering Prince getting hit by a pitch. Classy.
  17. Right there with you, had been holding it since the 5th. I get all the people who think it is dumb to follow the superstition, but I think it makes it a lot more fun.
  18. The Brewers will have a pitcher throw a no hitter the season following BA being fired or quitting. I'm convinced of this.
  19. Great game Bush. Thanks for making my day a million times more exciting.
  20. I wonder what number on a scale of 1-10 BA feels he should be doing commentary at right now.
  21. Even Telly, who barely knows how to talk, is handling this better than BA.
  22. I'd love the HD, but can't change anything up. Sticking with this channel
  23. I don't care what other people think, but is it too much to ask to respect the superstition for crazy people like me?
