  1. Count me as someone who is surprised that Wes was asked about his return to Milwaukee. I understand it's the writers job to produce an article or section of the paper but still. I had almost forgotten about Wes. I liked it that way. His numbers may not support my opinion but I couldn't stand watching him play. He was one of my least favorite Brewers.
  2. My guess is that the booing has a lot to do with him being Yost's guy. At the time he seemed over pain (not his fault). For me, he was the guy that when I went to the game he made an error and struck out 3 times. Or despite what the numbers say he "always seemed to be striking out". Add in his time spent on the DL for slipping in the dugout during a rain delay, it seemed like he couldn't do anything right. I wouldn't boo him but I also wouldn't give him a standing ovation.
  3. I'd love to hear Johnny Mac order a sub at Cousins and do that weird breathing/laughing thing he does. I just wish I could re-create that sound.
  4. I wish Macha would have pinch hit for Duffy right after he swung at that pitch. Dude, 4 walks in a row. It wasn't even down the middle. (Strike 1)
  5. Yeah me too. For making posts that aren't baseball related. Considering just about every post they make is about how Braun is into guys I thought it was a weak reason to kick me off. I'm guessing they were just tired of hearing about 17 in a row.
  6. My thought was a Brewer fan wanted to stop the bleeding for a while, slow down the Cubs momentum. Or just a power failure.
  7. Thank you. I am now dumber for reading that forum. Yeah it's the same few idiots over and over with their homophobic foul language. I know a few people shouldn't affect my opinion so much by ranking of dislike for the division is now... 1.Cubs 2. Cards 3. Pirates 4. Astros 5. Reds
  8. He's atleast 5'10. Got his autograph in Maryvale. I'm short, 5'7" he had me by atleast 3 inches. 5'11" sounds right.
  9. I'm so not cool that I don't really know what these "night clubs" are even like. Do they mean a strip club? I don't see these athletes going out and dancing. I don't get it. It always bothers me when athletes don't want to play in Milwaukee. Just live half way to Chicago then if you want to be near the big city. It's a 45 minute commute then and 45 minutes to the clubs. I live outside of Phoenix. It takes me 15 minutes to get to the grocery store. A lot of the players live in Scottsdale where the commute is 45 minutes.
  10. You must have missed it last week. The Pirates fans heads nearly exploded over it. Check out their poor mans version of brewerfan.net http://www.thebuccosforum...BB.pl?num=1240958386/0#0 http://www.thebuccosforum.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1241641482
  11. I'd like to echo the sour grapes opinion on Brenly. If you think so little of the city and state don't try and get a job there. Also, it's a lot easier to fill Wrigley than it was to fill County Stadium considering the size difference in the stadiums. Add in the fact that the population difference between the cities is huge. I'd also guess that people in Chicago have/had more disposable income. Less seats, more people, more money to spend on the seats doesn't mean they are bigger or better fans.
  12. If you're dusty, you stick with the lefty so that we don't counter with Brad Nelson...
  13. No idea what this means but I'd love to know.
  14. Ned was criticized because of his overall body of work. I don't think he was being bashed right away. Macha gets the benefit of the doubt because he managed a winner before, the team is winning, and we haven't seen his moves result in the team having a losing season or miss the playoffs yet.
  15. I feel pretty safe in saying that Prince is clean. Pujols? not as safe a bet.
  16. Fernando Valenzuela's uniform really didn't fit him back in the day. wow. Seriously though, great link. I may not get anything done today now.
  17. Pretty soon Bronson will have the 2nd worst stat line for Reds pitchers tonight.
  18. Congratulations to Carlos for his first big league hit. Too bad it had to be off Janish and not a real pitcher. Still Congratulations. How crappy does Brad Nelson feel right now? Too bad he couldn't get an at bat this inning.
  19. Technically, Laynce Nix can hit them all. Just not so well.
  20. I don't think I could take Davey for more than 5 minutes. Telly, 30 seconds is MORE than enough.
  21. For anyone watching the Reds feed, does she still get the truck if a Reds player hits the actual truck? And does she get that exact same truck? Dent or broken window and all?
  22. Hey maybe we will get to see Carlos Corporan's MLB debut!
  23. I don't think I've ever seen Cameron give less than 100% effort breaking up the double play. I give the guy credit, up 9 taking out the 2nd baseman. Corey too, nice to see him flying down the line.
  24. Anyone here have Arroyo in their fantasy league? Ouch.
  25. Great job Manny. After that big inning getting Arroyo back on the mound quick is nice. Another good inning here and Arroyo will feel like he's been on the mound forever. If Phillips gets him there, play of the year easily.
