  1. That was just a cool final out.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160410/7f3d64e0d934a130babf40a51447a674.jpg Carter needs something along these lines.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. You can't ask for any better from Jimmy Nelson through 2 starts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Good question. You know, you can't trade everyone. Gennett is young and packed on muscle so if his growth is for real I think the Brewers have to hold onto him.
  5. Considering Villar took such a deep turn at 3rd it looked like Sedar stopped him way too late. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I put that on Sedar. Villar already rounded 3rd by the time the ball was fielded, of course Domingo is going to assume you're sending him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Here we go Wily.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Wow. Stripling pulled with a no-hitter after 7.1 with 100 pitches. Edit: And Thatcher comes in and gives up a game tying home run to the next batter! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Sure these guys need to understand the rule change but I don't like this aspect of the rule. Rasmus went to the outside and Gennett was inside. There wasn't even intent to break up the double play. I would be much happier if he rule were changed that if the runner makes contact with the infielder then he must maintain the base. 10. The Brewers aren't good enough to keep sacrificing outs at the plate. On a side note, Villar and Gennett are going to have huge seasons.
  11. No RBI is awarded for a run scoring on a double play.
  12. Record: 68-94; 4th Central Team MVP: Domingo Santana Home Runs: Domingo Santana; 28 Wins: Jimmy Nelson; 14 Bold Predictions: Lucroy and Braun will be traded by the deadline. Chris Carter will hit above .250 this season and walk over 75 times. The Brewers will statistically (offensively) have the best middle infield in the NL Central this year between Villar and Gennett.
  13. It's going to be a rough season but these aren't the Selig-Prieb years. It's refreshing to see fellow fans understand this rebuilding faze really does have a light at the end of the tunnel. I was just really astounded how David Stearns and Craig Counsell changed the personnel and approach of the ball club over the last six months. With the Minors vastly improved and money coming off of the books, Stearns and his team are improving the areas Melvin couldn't keep stocked. It'll be a fun year.
  14. I think the A's and Brewers' collapses are a little different. The A's still have the wildcard lead and our division winner won't have won 100 games. For the Brewers to maintain the division lead nearly the entire season, let's be honest after going 20-7 we have gone 60-69, for St. Louis and Pittsburgh to take so long to catch us, no team wanted the division. For the Brewers not to take advantage of a blazing start and lackluster competition in the division, people definitely deserve to get fired. These are the windows for small market franchises that Melvin likes to talk about. May have missed one.
  15. I wanted to believe Ryan so badly. Let's say Ryan took an illegal substance that allowed him to heal quicker but didn't give him that "competitive edge" that everyone thinks. Why wouldn't he be out there telling the story, providing the receipts and clarifying exactly what he took? I'd think that would be a better alternative than just trying to move on and leaving it to the public's imagination. I mean if that were the case and I were in his situation I would be hell bent on proving that yes I made a mis take and broke the rules, but I didn't cheat the game like everyone thinks. It's a situation where if he does come back and perform he'll be lucky to be an all-star, he'll never win a major award, he probably won't get any lucrative licensing deals and he doesn't have a shot at the HOF. He's ruined in a lot of ways.
  16. Unfortunately baseball writers are judge and jury. It's such a stupid premise but Braun is a villain in some of their eyes and that minority can keep him from winning awards for the foreseeable future. It's a shame.
  17. Royals' fans apparently think a little less of Yunie B's defense then we did last season (2.18 average vote in 2011 to 1.87 average vote so far this year)!
  18. Personally I wouldn't prefer it. Lohse will be 34 in October, Dempster will be 36 next May. Signing either at the 2-4 year deals at the $15m+ per that they'll command is really risky. While the position FA market is awful, there are a decent list of pitchers that will potentially be available. I'd take the younger/cheaper approach. I mentioned them in another thread but Anibal Sanchez (29), Joe Saunders (32), Brandon McCarthy (30) and Colby Lewis (33) are a little younger and project to be much cheaper. There's more available and rumors that the Angels are going to buyout the final year of Dan Haren and Ervin Santana.
  19. I believe Lucroy will continue to blossom offensively. Is he Joe Mauer, no, but I don't consider his offensive maturity to be a fluke. While he wouldn't supply the power, to say that he would be terrible learning 1B is overblown if it would mean keeping Lucroy's bat in the lineup while getting Maldonado playing time.
  20. Hmm.. I'll take it. BA had Santos pegged the A's closer in 2015. Fastball can reach triple digits, hard slider, below average changeup. Strikes out over 11 per 9 in the minors and majors but has some control issues. He turned 26 in March. Tons of potential.
  21. Agreed. Morgan has given us all that he is going to give. Go-Go has those sexy tools that you just want him to figure out the bat. I would definitely like the Brewers to give him the CF reigns for the rest of the year and if he looks good to keep him around because of his athletic ability which may be matched by someone in the league but it's not exceeded.
  22. Eh.. If the Brewers want to go the FA route, I'd rather they go after the cheaper B.J. Upton. And I wouldn't mind Maicer Izturis at SS, who can also play second and third.
  23. Against.. In two seasons Marcum has shown no ability to stay healthy during or down the stretch. A shaky injury history brings his value down a lot, not just a bit, for a team like the Brewers. I'd much rather the Brewers take a look at Colby Lewis, Joe Saunders, Anibal Sanchez or Brandon McCarthy with Gallardo and Fiers going 1 & 2.
