  1. Jesus Made may or may not sign an extension but it has 0% to do with Cooper Pratt signing.
  2. No it did force Chourio onto the 40 man roster. If you sign a MLB contract you need to be put on the 40 man roster.
  3. Who knows for sure but knowing that Made would take up a 40 man roster spot while he is still in AA probably has something to do with it. If they are going to extend Made I think it would come in October or November before the December 1st lockout happens.
  4. Jackson Chourio 19 years old 2023 wrC+ at AA 109 Cooper Pratt 20 years old 2025 wrC+ at AA 107 The Southern League has had an average OPS of .662 the past two years.
  5. This has been a nice trip down memory lane to 2019 watching Burnes struggle.
  6. Even though he doesn't blow away hitters to me Gasser has the stuff to be a major league pitcher. The metrics say that as well. It is going to come down to if he can locate and have an effective game plan to neutralize right handed hitters. Gasser is at his best when his changeup is effective against right handed hitters.
  7. With the way the current roster is constructed I feel like David Hamilton is going to get a decent amount of playing time at 3B, more so than a lot of fans will want.
  8. Williams ISO being overlooked because of his height is already getting old.
  9. Fans are going to make a mistake if they think Williams is just another short guy who can't hit for power. He sure knows how to lift the ball in the minor leagues. His swing is a lot like Luis Pena's.
  10. Frontado, Rodriguez, and Moneys all in the lower half of Baseball America's top 50 2026 International Prospects.
  11. The board justifies it because the Brewers don't lose many trades. I like Collins the player but I don't like his fit on this team. I keep reading posts that they could just send Collins down because he has options. Well then he loses any trade value he has. Mears stuff declined last year at the expense of more command. With zero options there could have been a decent chance he was off the roster by June if he didn't start strong out of the gate. Maybe the Royals find a way to bring back the juice on his fastball. Zerpa's Sinker-Slider profile matches what the Brewers do well with. I am concerned about his ability to keep the ball in the yard vs. right handed hitters. Decent chance we lose this trade just on these players WAR with the service time they have left. But if you look under the hood Brewers are confident in replacing a Collins with a projected OPS+ of 98 with below average defense in left field.
  12. Feel like I remember reading about Frontado to the Brewers when he was 14 years old.
  13. Since the White Sox sent him down to the minors and he stayed in AAA for as long as he did he won't have enough service time to become a free agent after next year thus becoming a FA in 2028.
  14. Thing is I don't think this is Quinn's final form. Give him an off-season and spring training with our staff to see if he can make his cutter better. I am optimistic because his slider is already really good. Its not like its a Logan Henderson problem where you are not sure if he can become a supinator.
  15. I forgot how we lost a lot of games before the 2021 playoffs. Yes the division was in hand but the Brewers finished 5-10. So even that 14-15 listed above has the context of the Brewers played 6 meaningless games to finish the season. What an incredible consistent run you laid out in your post @sveumrules
