  1. Haurdicourt doesnt see us adding Jake.
  2. Im guessing Jake will be a Brewer before camp starts. Arrieta Anderson Davies Chacin Woodruff Oh hell yes!
  3. They desperately need a SP???????????? Lester/Hendricks/Quintana/Chatwood/Montgomery Far from a need............. Then why go for Darvish? Cuz they want to keep him away from us.
  4. It got erased before I told them too. Strike 3 and now I’m done with brewerfan.net. Man, I thought you decided to come back..................
  5. Let me clear that up a little bit. The holdup is a player amongst the teams. Not Martinez. I would put very good odds that something will get done between the Brewers and the Indians before opening day. And it will more than likely include Santana. Do not be surprised if Santana is also dealt for a high end pitching prospect who may only be a year away from major league ready. See Puk/Groome. So probably Salazar/Kipnis for Santana????
  6. Wow... Morons.......
  7. Well, they are morons. Haha, true. I would offer both Darvish and Arrieta 5 yrs, $120-$125 mil and see if either takes it... Otherwise move on.
  8. I hope all those Cub fans who are convinced they're getting Yu for 4/90 see that. I honestly cant believe those morons to the South think they would land Darvish for anything less than $100 mil.
  9. Its been reported that Yu has multiple 5 year deals he's sitting on... Im guessing us and the Cubs.
  10. They desperately need a SP???????????? Lester/Hendricks/Quintana/Chatwood/Montgomery Far from a need.............
  11. I guess I don't see how Santana staying matters. If you think Walker is a fit at 2B, he would be whether Santana is here or not. Sorry, I meant having Santana and Walker in our lineup really lengthens it... I grouped the words together wrong.
  12. Why does everyone think they are going to sign Walker? Did I miss something there? Mets were the only other obvious suter and they chose to sign Frazier to slide Cabrera to 2B.
  13. We need to sign Walker, he's the perfect fit at 2B and really lengthens our lineup... Assuming Santana stays.
  14. Check his last half of 2016. He has had more than a year of excellent pitching under his belt. This is more than a Jungmann stretch of games that he has looked like a #2. I would say a #1, but he doesn't go deep enough in games, but maybe Counsell needs to let him. Thank you! Chase keeps pitching the way he did last year and add Cobb, I'll gladly take my chances with the rotation of... Anderson Cobb Davies Chacin Woodruff Our bullpen is much improved over last year as well.
  15. And all of those lineups have regression candidates as well.............. You really except Chris Taylor to continue what he did last year... Teams will figure out Bellinger... And Ryan Zimmerman to have the year he did last year, etc............
  16. Do u guys not see Chase as the Ace he was last year? He's our Kyle Hendricks.
  17. Twins have submitted offer to Yu.
  18. If we keep Santana, then Braun moves needs to be moved permanently to 1B... Braun isnt losing playing time and Santana doesnt deserve to sit the bench. Then sign Walker to play 2B. Cain - CF Yelich - LF Braun - 1B Shaw - 3B Santana - RF Walker - 2B Pina - C Arcia - SS That 1-6 is very, very good!
  19. Then Santana needs to be moved... Because Braun isnt losing playing time. And Santana deserves to be a starter someone other than Milwaukee... His talent is wasted on the bench.
  20. If Nelson were a sure thing I'd agree but he isn't. I just don't think that is enough pitching. Having said that, I think that is what we get and you will have every opportunity to rub my nose in it if I'm wrong. Yea good point with Jimmy... We'll see what happens I guess. If we keep Santana and move Braun to 1st, I'm confident rolling with our stacked offense and rotation full of #2's and #3's. I would feel even better about our offense if we sign Walker... Cain Yelich Braun Shaw Santana Walker Pina Arcia I mean come on, that's a damn good offense!
  21. Im good with adding Cobb and calling it an offseason... Our team is greatly improved over the 86 win team of last year. Anderson Cobb Davies Chacin Woodruff Nelson - DL Knebel Hader Albers Barnes Logan Jeffress Suter/Gallardo This is a winning pitching staff!
  22. As I have stated in numerous threads, Pina at the plate is my biggest fear in terms of a regression candidate. Signing Lucroy to a 2 year $18-$20 million deal would be a priority of mine if I were DS. Do the Santana-Salazar deal as well and you open with: 1. Cain 2. Yelich 3. Braun 4. Shaw 5. Lucroy 6. Thames 7. Villar/Sogard 8. Arcia Anderson-Salazar-Davies-Chacin-Woodruff/Suter/Guerra and determine where you're at with Nelson and at the Deadline if more SP is needed. I would ask for Kipnis along with Salazar... Lineup gets much better Cain Yelich Braun Shaw Lucroy Kipnis Thames Arcia Then sign Cobb or Lynn... Anderson Cobb/Lynn Salazar Davies Chacin Thats a winner there!
  23. Add Lucroy as the 5 hole hitter and things look better... I would rather have Luc/Pina then Pina/Vogt.
  24. HH said we're high on Kipnis, so my prediction is we acquire Kipnis and Salazar for Santana.
  25. Really curious about the "Chernoff" comment HH had before he left for good. If that trade is stuck on one player, I would who it could be? I would love to get Salazar and Kipnis from them.
