  1. I just want to state for the record that loving the Brewers and baseball does not just boil down to winning and losing for me. I love this team and sport no matter what. I was just thinking about what seasons had more juice and were better for the club as for as winning teams and more meaningful games played down the stretch. I can always find great moments in any season and honestly just watching baseball makes me happy. I'd much rather it be baseball season and watching the Brewers lose than having no baseball in the cold of Wisconsin winters.
  2. As I sat at my desk in my cubicle today listening to another bad Brewers baseball game. It started to really sink in that this season is lost and it's another meaningless season where games in September won't matter. We got teased a bit during that nice 5 game win streak and have now been beat down 2 games in a row. So I was thinking, how many seasons have the Brewers actually had good, meaningful seasons that they were competitive, fun and in it? I came up with 8. 1978 1981 1982 1987 1992 2005 (were not really "in it" but made it to .500 for first time in forever) 2007 2008 This was just off the top of my head, were any other season really all that good? Thoughts?
  3. I love how the Brewers tease us for 5 games and then lay two complete turds and show their true colors. This pitching staff is just so bad.
  4. He just does way too many things bad, and not enough good.
  5. No kidding, why get greedy there? You are down 3 runs, take your double.
  6. I'm not convinced he would be. Well then Melvin and Macha are even bigger idiots then we thought.
  7. And for the first time Kameron Loe looked human. Come on Coffey, let’s get out of this without any more damage.
  8. All of these starts for Inglett are making me sick. Sure wish Cain was up, he would be playing since Hart and Edmonds are both hobbled.
  9. I too am not a fan of protection. It is one of those baseball "myths". Really no evidence that it exists.
  10. I was not expecting this result with Gallardo on the mound. Crazy, perhaps the mohawk was bad luck. Shave it!
  11. I do remember hearing that the Rays and Marlins actually have really big fan bases and get good ratings, people just don’t go because of the ridiculous ballparks they play in. It is cool to see that the Brewers who play in the smallest market get good ratings and good attendance.
  12. Kind of stinks that with Hart and Edmonds both hobbled that Cain is not up. He could have actually gotten a handful of starts now. Go Brewers, Go! Let’s keep this streak alive and get YoGa win #10.
  13. Rickie has as good of bat speed as anyone in the game. Just so quick at getting that bat through the zone.
  14. I still want them to extend him. They stuck with him through the struggles and the injuries, now that patience is paying off. Keep him around another 3 or 4 years. He is entering his prime.
  15. I like many have pounded Wolf pretty hard for his lackluster season, but I have to give the guy credit. He pitched his butt off last night. After he gave up those two early runs I thought it was going to be a long night. He settled down and went 7 strong. Great performances by Villanyeva, Axford and of course Edmonds on that PH HR. An awesome win.
  16. The Brewers playing from behind in a Randy Wolf start? You don't say.
  17. If he didn't have a little pop in his bat he would be kind of useless.
  18. I really want to be a Blackhawks fan, I love Kane and Towes plus they have former Badgers on the team and are close geographically. But the fact they are Chicago team I just find it so hard to fully root for them.
  19. I thought I read on McCalvy's/Schelling's blog that Braddock should be available tomorrow night.
  20. I will be in attendance today at Miller Park. Only my second game of the season. Let's get to 6 games under .500! If there is a save opportunity today, I say give it to Hoffman. Axford needs a day off.
