Attanasio had a manager fired with 12 games left in a season. I think he might do the same after a very poor start and an 0-6 homestand. I'm not saying it's going to happen, I just think it is possible.

Could be the last 4 innings Ken Macha has as Manager of the Brewers. Hope he has his resume ready, maybe he can get his job bac at NESN as a Red Sox pre and post game analyst.

Escobar's speed put pressure on the D there. Uggghhh, Ryan having struggles since coming back from the elbow injury.

I'm starting to think Rickie could just use a different team. If he wouldn't have gotten lucky with infield choppers early this year (he led the league in infield hits with 8 last I checked), his stats would be really, really ugly. And as the last at bat shows, he basically has fake plate patience. Taking the strikes, swinging at the balls. It pains me to say, but the guy is just not a good player. I'm ready to move on and let someone else start. Let him become someone elses headache. Gobias, were you not one of us that was talking about extending Weeks in the "Extend Weeks" thread? Now he is going through a rough patch and you want to "let him become someone elses headache." Just curious. I mean, I am frustrated with his play as of late, but I don't want to give up on him. I still think he is gonna have a good season.

I think there is a chance. Especially if they lose big tonight. But I think this team has till Memorial Day, if things are turning around by then there could be a nice shakeup. Including Macha and players.

I have a feeling the 2 hole is going to be an issue all season. We have no one that really fits that slot in the order. Counsell does, but he is not an everyday player.

And even though they had surgery, they all still throw hard. Except Rivas, I don't think he throws as hard as the others. -
I think if Capuano had 4 or 5 more starts under his belt they would consider him. But after making only 1 at AAA they can't go to him. They have to be sure with him before they call him up since they would have to clear as spot on the 40 man roster. It's gonna be Parra or Suppan. Going to be interesting to see who the brass go with and if that pitcher responds and does okay.

Zaun started terrible but has since settled in nicely. And when Kottaras plays he has done well, not the best BA, but his OPS is great.
