I to noticed the Werth/Edge comparison. I believe last season I was telling some buddies that I thought that. It's crazy, they could be twins, or at least brothers. Still wondering what Edmonds and Hart were doing on defense in that 2nd inning. Bonehead, lazy plays. Ouch, Wolf going Looper here.

He did? Wow, I had no idea Rickie played anything other than 2B. I don't think his defense is bad at 2B. Sure he made a few errors lately that hurt us, but I think since last season he has looked much improved at 2B.

This series has all the makings of a sweep by Philly. -Retro uni't tonight. -Fox national TV tomorrow. -ESPN national TV Sunday with Doug Davis starting. -No Gallardo start. So of course the Brewers will sweep the Phils or at least take 2. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

strawboss, really liked your recap of our prospects. It makes me feel optimistic that with that group coming, our core players on the big club now and the players we can get back for Prince in a trade that our team can be back in the playoffs soon and sustain some success.

Great news that Lo Cain is off the DL. Get him back on the field, he was off to such a good start.

Braddock strikes out the side in the 9th on 17 pitches, gave up a single to former Brewer Brad Nelson. Good to see him come back strong after that first bad outing of the season. Lucroy with a 3 run HR tonight as well, great night for Nashville and Brewers fans.

I remember Chris being around 88-89, sometimes hitting 90. What a great start tonight. 8 strong innings, Braddock now in.
  8. BrewCrewForever
I thought he would hold out to see what happens with the Braves job after Cox retires after the season.
  9. BrewCrewForever
Excited to see how Capuano fairs in his first AAA start.
  10. BrewCrewForever
If they contine to fall, I want big changes. I want to see a lot of our good AA and AAA talent up and the veterans on this team that have no future with the team traded. I wouldn't make those moves yet, but in another month or so if they are not within 5 games or less of the division or wild card, something has to be done.

Gamel was mishandled so bad last year, I can't believe Ash can't see that. He has never really had a chance to prove himself. But I think he will later this year or next year when we give him the everdya 1B job once Prince is traded.

So long Pens/Crosby! Very happy to see them out. It feels weird, but I think I will be rooting for the Blackhawks. Really like Patrick Kane.

I have to say I am pretty shocked at the starts that Penny and Garland have had. Wow.
  14. BrewCrewForever
While Prince is not doing well right now, I still think and know he will break out. I can't imagine that this bad start would lower his trade value to much. Maybe a little? I dunno.

I feel that way with the logo and the old yellow and royal blue colors. But if you keep the current colors and uni's and just throw the ball and glove logo on a hat with the current colors I think that would be fantastic. But if they ever decided to scrap the current colors and go back to the old I would very upset.
  16. BrewCrewForever
I would all for this. I love the current color scheme and the current logo is good, but have the ball and glove logo with the current colors and that would be perfect moving forward. And adding Milwaukee to the road greys would be nice.

I seen these videos yesterday over at Deadspin. I couldn't stop laughing, just hilarious. And yeah, the zim-zam name really hits home to us Brewers fans.

bklynbrewcrew, the only issue I have with trading McGehee is that the Brewers are going to have to trade Prince. Wouldn't you want to keep McGehee so you have him and Gamel to be the corner INFers? I don't care if it is Gamel or McGehee that plays 1B, but I would think one of them will move and the other will stay at 3B.

I would say I am starting to feel demoralized. I'm to the point where if we are more then 6 games back at the All-Star break, blow up the team. Not the whole team, just deal Prince and any of the veteran guys that a contender would want and can get you something back. Then bring up guys like Lucroy, Cain, Gamel, Braddock, Axford, Smith, etc. Let's audition some of these young guys who might be on the roster in 2011 anyway. I'm not saying Hoffman, Hawkins, Zaun, Edmonds or Gerut would bring a lot back in trade, but something. And of course trading Prince to a team that would get him for one and half years we should be able to get a haul close to what the Rangers got from the Braves for Teixiera.

It actually seems they play okay on ESPN. But when they are on Fox or TBS, they lose just about every time. I would be interested to find out their record on the Fox Saturday game of the week since 2007. I'm not sure if they even have a win.

Wow, my first game attended of the year and it was not fun. I thought Gallardo was pretty solid though, 6 IP with 6 K's and only 2 ER. The offense was not really heard from and the bullpen was awful, as they were the entire series. Just a really bad game to see live in person. I couldn't believe Gerut tried stealing 3B in that situation and I can't believe Parra threw that 0-2 fastball right down the middle. Did he shake Zaun off or did Zaun call that pitch?
  22. BrewCrewForever
If Hoffman keeps this up, I wonder if maybe he might realize he is done and hang em up right after he gets his 600th save? I doubt it would happen, but I think that might be the best.

First game I go to this season and no Braun. Thanks Tommy Hanson. I hate you.
  24. BrewCrewForever
I will be at the park today. Love taking a day off work to watch day baseball. Really need at least 7 strong today from Yo. Scoring some early runs for him would help.
  25. BrewCrewForever
It does seem, as Rickie Weeks goes, so go the Milwaukee Brewers. Never helps when Braun is not in the lineup as well.
