    Anyone have anything stolen out of their vehicle this year at the ballpark? A friend of mine has had stuff stolen out of her truck three different times this year. All three times in the preferred lots. Twice they took beer and food out of coolers and once they stole 7 coolers and the contents outright. She has a small pick up truck which she keeps everything in. It was never a problem in the past but this year they've really hit hard. I realize it's a risk to have everything just sitting in the truck bed. I don't really want to have a "fool me once..." debate. I was just wondering if anyone else has had a problem.

    Is the plate umpire as bad as the Phillies radio announcers are making him sound? I'm listening on XM on and off and they were complaining earlier about the ball and strike calls. Among other things the one guy said "they force you to throw so many more pitches and they think they're so good. They're so arrogant. The younger umpires like Estabrook, they're not good and they're arrogant about being not good"

    Thought I'd revisit this thread just to let everybody know I'm 0-9 on the year. Anybody else with a similarly horrendous record?

    I'm kind of half listening to the radio call. Did Davey Nelson actually say that Lew Burdette would have faced Lou Gehrig?

    Anybody listening to the game on XM? The 1st 15,000 fans at some Saturday game get a Marlins air horn. That doesn't sound like the greatest of ideas to me.

    I'm 0-5 on the year. I only have tickets for one more game but I have a buddy that has a four pack of which I think he expects me to attend those with him. Other than that I'll probably be slumming it with day of game deeply discounted tickets from someone in the parking lot if I get the itch to see a game.

    I'm reading it right now. I ordered the "expanded and updated" version from Amazon a few weeks ago. There were a bunch of positive reviews and IMO the reviewers didn't seem like shills so I figured I'd give it a shot. I'm about 100 pages in.

    It came up right away at the post game press conference and went something like- "Yes, all the hits came on fastballs" and "As far as I know Rick hasn't talked to him about pitch selection."

    He seemed pretty disappointed with the whole thing-"Wasn't in a very good poistion to make that call was he? He couldn't see very well..."

    Nothing too exciting before the game. The usual assortment of drunkenness and buffoonery. I didn't witness any fighting this year. Porta potty lines were still probably 40 minutes long at the ones by us. Bring your own and charge people to use it seems to be a pretty good idea as far as making some extra money. As far as inside the park I was in the terrace box behind home plate and everyone around was well behaved. After the game I was waiting for my buddy on the terrace concourse and "Freeway" came down from the seats and three guys standing next to me started calling him names and getting in his face and there was almost an altercation before a Brewers employee shooed him away . The guys were very displeased with "Freeway" because apparently he was annoying everyone around him during the game. Better them than me I guess.

    I got it and logged on right away and ended up with 2 tickets in 421 row 2. A pair in the diamond Box came up when I first tried "best available" but I checked again and got the pair in the terrace box. I'm sure whatever they had that weren't singles & obstructed went pretty quick.
