  1. I'd take em if the seats were on the track and not in the grandstand.

  3. Great job on today's FSN replay. Due to time constraints we now move ahead in our coverage. Time was apparently so constrained that they moved straight from the bottom of the 6th to AFTER Fielder's home run.
  4. Lists at $50. Available on Amazon for $40.
  5. While I find the whole situation interesting, I'm not really passionate about it one way or the other but I believe what people are saying is there's such a thing as decency, dignity, and self respect. They're sticking it to me so I can stick it to them isn't what it's all about.
  6. Right, instead of having a bunch of negotiated for stuff that would leave a sour taste in my mouth every time I so much as looked at it. Especially a picture of me shaking hands with a player who now despises me.
  7. Something to do with a pen holding the glove open and a rubber band on the glove causing it to close on the ball or something. I figured that much out from an article about Hample and then I got bored.
  8. I think it was blatant exaggeration, not lying.
  9. Yeah, I'm totally amazed. I had no idea. I just read Hample's blog entry from when he was here for the game on 4-27. He got 12 balls!
  10. "I explained that ballhawking is my hobby and that what I was asking in return was fair," Yohanek said Thursday, in an e-mail to The Associated Press. "I told him I make $50,000 a year working in law enforcement and that I didn't feel like I was asking for too much. He responded, 'Good for you.' Real classy. Way to respect law enforcement. Way to respect a fan." LINK
  11. Go to class. That's about all I've got. GO TO CLASS. It can't be stressed enough.
  12. Zim's, Steny's, Mikey's supposedly
  13. The Archive has a whole bunch of live stuff from them. I haven't listened to all of them but the sound quality on Down Home 12-7-02 is excellent so you might want to start with that one if you're interested.
  14. Did you get some of these or are you still looking?
  15. Take me out to the drive-in
  16. Are the Favre's hologrammed?
  17. IMO a parent sending their 6 year old in at the front of the line for the initial stampede sounds like the problem. So don't do that and that pretty much solves that part. And if you're so completely disenchanted by the whole thing don't go at all. That's the solution to that. Or just go and get one of the non star players. It would be great if everybody could have a Braun & Fielder autograph but it's never going to happen. Plus I think the whole "personal interaction" thing is nonsense too. Maybe somebody gets all warm and fuzzy because they got to spend 4 seconds "interacting" but I personally just want something that looks cool to display on a shelf or hang on my wall. All this idea about tickets and lines and usher escorts and somehow keeping 8 lines separate would cost money in the form of employees doing these things, which I"m sure the team isn't all that interested in. The bottom line is that however you do it, 70-80% of the people that show up for these things are going to go away empty handed and disappointed. How's it even possible to get Braun 20 times? And if it is, good for the person that did it because they probably spent about 100 hours doing it and I won't begrudge them their $3 an hour profit or whatever it comes out to be after they sell 'em on eBay. I'd like another one too. And if I invest my time standing in line and I was ahead of somebody that doesn't have one yet, that's too bad. Because a bunch of different Braun 8x10's hanging on my rec room wall would look pretty damn cool. Why does anyone need more than one shirt? They should give up their spot in line for me at the Team Store because I don't have one yet and I'm sick of standing in line during the game.
  18. I've been watching it and it's not completely terrible. Kevin should have his own show. That guy cracks me up. $2400 tattoo guy is a complete bore. I don't know why they'd say that since the two girls currently featured are both from Wisconsin.
  19. On the flip side, it's yet another game not broadcast in HD
  20. And even then depending on what company did the grading, you can still find one for less than 50 bucks that's been graded "gem mint 10." Generally the only way it'd be worth any real money is if PSA graded it and it was a 9 or above. There are probably exceptions. Do a search by "completed listings" on eBay to get an idea.
  21. If only Weeks had straddled the bag and blocked it using his crampon like his mentor Randolph had shown him the results may have been different.
  22. What did he say? He said "and a great inning there for McClung...a FABULOUS inning compared to his predecessors."
  23. In this case it's kind of masochistic but I like to see it "as it happens" and not in slow motion.
