  1. Well once more I look forward to watching the excitement in September as the Brewers will again have the chance to disrupt some other teams playoff chances.
  2. A three run homer by Lee hopefully. ETA: Except he's due up 2nd.
  3. Squarepusher please pick up the white courtesy phone. I foresee possible inappropriate words being used.
  4. Some insurance would have been nice.
  5. "Cap-o-ahno", "Banyan"... Man, time to turn off the Cubs broadcast on XM and turn on Bob & Jim on WTMJ. Hughes is fine but I don't care for Santo.
  6. Jenkins with a big dinger. Tied at 2.
  7. I find this to be very depressing. It makes me sad. Someday before I die I hope I get to see the Brewers celebrating in their or someone else's park. sports.espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=240920108 "The Cardinals came to Milwaukee ready to party. They packed up more than 20 cases of champagne and boxes of championship hats and T-shirts and had the team's clubhouse attendants drive it all up to Miller Park in two pickup trucks that arrived 45 minutes before Monday's game. After Trent Durrington made the final out, the Cardinals rushed out of their dugout and lined up to congratulate each other. La Russa stood at the end of the line and hugged the players before they ducked into the tunnel to the clubhouse and the waiting tubs of champagne and beer. On the field they were subdued, but once they got in the locker room, the party began. Wearing division championship hats and T-shirts that sat locked up for two days like the champagne, they sprayed each other and even a few club officials and their wives who were trying to stay out of the way. The celebration even extended out into Miller Park. Eight Cardinals players went into the empty stands near the mascot's home run slide. A few hardy ones even slid down the slide before stopping for a group picture."
  8. Another 12 game losing streak is entirely possible.
  9. I don't think that was a strike to Pods. Maybe if Emmanuel Lewis was up to bat.
  10. 09/17/2004 - Brewers (Sheets) at Astros (Oswalt) Now that the Bonds circus has left town, the proletariat can focus on what they have temporarily forgotten- how bad the Brew Crew really is. Hopefully the team puts up an 11 spot for Sheets again. Pitching matchup: MIL: RHP Ben Sheets 11-11, 2.83 ERA in 2004 2-1, 1.00 ERA in 2004 vs. SF 8-3, 3.24 ERA lifetime vs. SF HOU: RHP Roy Oswalt 17-9, 3.55 ERA in 2004 2-1, 3.66 ERA in 2004 vs. MIL 7-4, 3.79 ERA lifetime vs. MIL
  11. The integrity of the wildcard race is still intact though since Yost kept his best offensive lineup in.
  12. No homer today. Bonds goes 3 for 3 plus a walk. Shame on Milwaukee pitchers for not pitching to Barry at all during the series. [/end sarcasm]
  13. Going back to Jim & Bob at 2:25 for an update.
  14. Delayed until at least 1:55PM....
  15. 6-0 already. At noon I decided to request two hours of vacation time because I felt like going to the game, my 2nd of the year. It must be some sign from God that my request was denied because somebody already took the only two hours available.
