I just finished The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Diaz which was most excellent. Before that I read Can I Keep My Jersey by Paul Shirley, which I recommend for anyone that likes sports books. I just started St. Urbain's Horseman by Mordecai Richler. There was a huge secondary market glut last time he was at the BC and people were selling tickets for really cheap. I was hoping the same thing would happen with this show but there's hardly anything available. I guess most people who bought tickets are actually going to the show. -

The show has pretty much run it's course for me. The idea of a mentally @%*!!+%* man as manager has played itself out IMO.

The announced attendance is how many tickets they sold not how many people actually showed up. So if the attendance was announced at 30K that means there were around 12K unsold seats.

That's a really good idea. I think I'll give it a shot. I have 4 or 5 recurring dreams and I'd like to figure out how often I have them and figure out if there's some kind of pattern to the whole thing.

I look forward to the Challenges. They're the only shows I watch on MTV anymore since I went cold turkey on all Laguna Beach spinoffs. I'm a big Derrick fan. Glad to see he's back on this one. Evan's a big tool but always entertaining. Some of the Real World people I'm not familiar with. Denver was the last one I watched. I don't see Big Easy on this one. I liked that he represented all us fatsos.

It won't be. It probably wouldn't even make the top 20 among restaurants within a 6 block radius. Nobody really goes there for the food. I went there last week, not willingly. I forgot to tell my buddy who had never been there the password until we were in the foyer or whatever it's called. So I was forced to do the little dance because sharing the password is frowned upon. That wasn't really a big deal but it was early in the evening and there were a bunch of kids running around and tourists howling and clapping at the closed circuit TV and I was really annoyed by the whole thing.

I have a recurring dream where I go to a baseball game, sometimes at Miller Park but usually at some weird random ballpark that's not any recognizable MLB park and the Brewers aren't necessarily playing, and my seats are always in some bizarre seating section either facing away from the field or with a view of a small sliver of the outfield. Sometimes the seats are in a room off the concourse with no view at all of the field. I have this dream once a month or so. Anyone have any idea what this might mean?
