  1. Anyone going to be collecting these. According to an ad in the JS, they will be available every day between April 23rd through May 18th. There's going to be a coupon in the paper every day which you redeem at participating retailers. I'm not sure which ones. It doesn't say. Plus there's going to be an album you can put them in.
  2. I just downloaded The Pat Travers Band Live! Go For What You Know which is killer. Check it out if you're a fan of bluesy hard rock.
  3. If anyone has reasonably decent seats for the game at Miller Park tonight and has an extra I'll buy it from you. With the weather I'm sure I could easily walk up and move down but if someone needs to get rid of one let me know. And thanks to bf.net poster chuckcrim for the fantastic seat for last night's game.
  4. I think a Rachel Phelps lifesize cardboard cutout complete with peel off clothing would be a close second.
  5. First reply gets it. Free of charge & free shipping. It looks like this (just to show what it is, this is not my auction)- link
  6. My buddy at work got one. He said the sausages were handing them out.
  7. Anyone have an extra pin that they were giving away at the On Deck event? I'll buy or trade.Thanks.
  8. I stand corrected then. I can see how and why such a thing would occur. The general public would still have to know about it somehow though. I wouldn't expect a lot of people would have the wherewithal to stop by the ticket office and ask for free tickets.
  9. Ok, I do believe that you're way closer to the situation than I am and know things that the general ticket buying public doesn't. But just provide an example though so I can understand what you're talking about.Without naming specific shows or whatever. I'm still not sure what you're saying. Are you talking about when they "paper" a show or whatever that's called when they give out tons of free tickets in order to sell concessions. I can see this happening but for Joe average ticket buyer who wants to see a show, he's probably not aware of how to score free tickets and when he goes through the regular channels, he'll see that he has to pay for lawn tickets. You said Summerfest doesn't even know at this point in time which shows will offer free lawn and bleacher seats. So they actually may offer free lawn & bleacher seats for a show in which they sold them at the initial onsale date? ETA: I read your posts again & I guess I figured it out. Without coming right out and saying it I think what you were implying when you said Summerfest doesn't even know at this point in time which shows will offer free lawn and bleacher seats. is that Summerfest doesn't know which shows they will and will not have anybody at the gates checking for wristbands. Or will have somebody there but looking the other way.
  10. Mark it down. It's not often when I actually know what I'm talking about.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  11. Tickets for Toby Keith will go on sale 10 a.m. Jan. 27 and are $65.77, $55.77, $40.77 and $30, excluding service charges. Tickets may be purchased at the Marcus Amphitheater box office or through Ticketmaster, (414) 276-4545 or www.ticketmaster.com. Due to construction at the Marcus box office, patrons will have to fill out an order form and receive tickets via mail. There are no free lawn seats. LINK That means that red seats are $65.77, yellow seats are $55.77, bleacher seats are 40.77, & lawn seats are $30. "There are no free lawn seats" means just that. It doesn't mean that there might be free lawn seats the day of the show if ticket sales are slower than expected. It means that the any seat/piece of grass (yellow, red, bleacher, lawn) in the amphitheater requires a ticket that you need to pay for. There are four Amphitheater Summerfest shows currently on sale- TK, John Mayer, the Fray, & Roger Waters. All of them will require you to buy a ticket no matter where you sit. There will be no free wristbands. Now if a lower tier band that is booked later like say the Allman Brothers is playing, it's most likely that only seats in the yellow or red sections will be sold. In that case bleachers & lawn would be free first come first serve by wristband day of show. But this would be annonced ahead of time and you'd know that before, during, & afteryou were buying reserved seats from ticketmaster or the box office.
  12. I'm totally missing something here. Summerfest has had free wristbands available day of show for general admission lawn seating for shows in which they've sold general admission lawn tickets in advance? As far as people holding off on buying tickets, the lawn is a mile away from the stage. And uncovered. Plus for a show in which the free wristbands are available you have to get there when the Marcus gates open to get a good spot. That's why people buy seats in the red and the yellow sections even when there are GA tickets available for free. Sit in the first 10 or 15 rows for a show and you'll never want to sit up top again.
  13. Because they're selling general admission lawn seats and bleacher seats for all four shows that currently on sale. Even the Fray who I'd never even heard of. Toby Keith for instance- LINK Acutally two lawn seats for TK will run you 80 bucks. Two bleacher seats will cost you $102.14.
  14. Which makes it virtually sold out. If it is a wristbanded show, which it probably will be It's not. Two lawn seats are gonna run you about 100 bucks, including all the fees. None of the Amphitheater shows that are currently on sale will have free lawn or bleacher admission.
  15. After thinking about it, I do remember that I was actually sober at Opening Day 1984. I was 13.
  16. What I think is funny is that there are a lot of people who only listen to music on the radio, when essentially all radio does is play what the record companies pay them to play You can't really fault somebody for that though. I just don't consider most of them music fans, rather just passive listeners. Some people are happy to have the radio on as background noise more or less, hearing "More Than a Feeling" & "Jet Airliner" for the 5000th time.
  17. After reading this, I may have to go see Foreigner. They've got 3 hair metal guys in the lineup Yeah, even though I semi ripped on them before, I might have to check them out too if that's still the touring lineup. Another little tidbit is that Pilson is from Whitefish Bay I believe. And Bonham was on that "Supergroup" show last year on VH1 with Nugent & Sebastian Bach & Scott Ian. I just remembered that I watched that. I'd completely forgotten about it. I wonder if Damnocracy is ever going out on tour. I'd never go see Bon Jovi now but I saw them in 1989 at Alpine Valley on the "New Jersey" tour and it's still one of the best concerts I've ever seen. And I also saw them in '85 at Summerfest on the "7800° Fahrenheit" tour on the Rock Stage, which was where the Amphitheatre is now.
  18. I plan on being sober at Opening Day for the first time ever so I'll try to grab a bunch too.
  19. Isn't Mick Jones the only original guy in Foreigner? If that doesn't scream "side act" I don't know what does.
  20. One thing to keep in mind is that some artists prefer playing to a more intimate/smaller crowd Well that's what they'll tell you when they're relegated to playing smaller venues anyway.
  21. I just watched Season 2 of Extras. Completely hilarious. Besides Gervais, Stephen Merchant is a comic genius.
  22. Sounds easy enough. Thanks Casey.
  23. If you'd like, you can migrate your profile early. How do I go about doing this. I don't understand. Can I use the same name as I use on ezboard?
  24. And Gyp, as far as I'm concerned, get all four VU albums with Lou Reed, or if you feel like throwing down a larger lump sum, get the "Peel Slowly and See" box set. Good suggestion Brett. I checked Amazon and it's fairly cheap used. I think I'll go that route.
