  1. I think Bucks need to trade Monroe, I like him a lot as a player but just doesn't fit what we ned on this team. We need Plumlee / Howard type guys who can play defense/ protect rim, clean up around basket offensively, run floor in transition. MCW I think is a good piece of the bench. Don't care if he is traded or not. Really IMO we need to get one of Murray, Dunn, or Baldwin the 4th. They all have ability to be very good starting PG's but size and shooting to be combo guys. Dunn & Baldwin IV (who is rising fast!) are my top two. Giannis is NOT a PG! He is a Point Forward just like LeBron. He will not guard a PG. James is a Point Forward and has Irving. Giannis can have Dunn or Baldwin. Not that anyone on here really is taking that side that Giannis is our sole PG of future but some are out there. They act like PG isn't a need because we have Giannis and that is 100% false. C Howard (I wouldn't mind, he fits our need of the type of Center we must have) PF Parker SF Giannis (Point Forward) SG Middleton PG Baldwin IV (was a 40% 3pt shooter in college, best overall, explosive measurables in NBA combine Plumlee, Henson, Vaughn, MCW, Ennis off bench
  2. Exactly my point, doesn't matter if it's Colorado Springs or not, I'm sure he'd like the chance to advance. Guy has pitched nearly 40 AA games, at a very high level....now that level has crossed over to straight dominance. Stop babying the guy. He has nothing left to prove at AA. He is most likely thinking same thing. Doubt he saying, I really hope they don't pitch me in AAA cause I'm going to get shelled.
  3. It's not a reward but it's a step up & a new challenge to face. The goal is for him to be an MLB pitcher can't baby him forever. I hate Colorado Springs as much as anyone for pitchers but seeing a guy perform the way he has in over 37 AA games & 29 starts..... Enough babying is enough. Let him tackle a new challenge and overcome. Or call him up. Yes he can still work on things but so can any pitcher at any level. He had 5 AA games with 4 starts & 20 IP in 2014 24 Games 17 Starts and 104 IP in 2015 Now he has 40IP in 8 games & starts 164 IP 3.00 ERA 1.19 WHIP 195k Time to stop pretending he is simply 8 games so far to AA. He's pretty much an experienced vet now at the level. I bet if you asked him, he'd like to advance.
  4. I have taught & coached long enough that in development, students & athletes need rigor. AA is not the goal, to advance & be successful they need to be challenged. They need to overcome adversity to. That is an extremely important. Learn to experience & overcome failure. Does Hader really need 2 unchallenged seasons in AA? He was good in 1st half for Houston last year in AA & lights out for Biloxi. He shouldn't have been placed in AA to begin with.... Been complaining since rosters were released. Why do we baby him but not Lopez? Only time it is exceptable to allow a guy simply dominate without advancing is when he is doing it at the Highest level. I can tell you it is usually more damaging for multiple reasons to just let him waste away dominating lesser talent for a whole season..... For second year. 1) mental frustration..... Like in real life, how angry & frustrated are you when you are killing it and are refused a raise or promotion? Takes a toll. If I'm Hader I'm starting to wonder what I have left to prove! This is my 2nd full season in AA! What am I doing wrong. I have a kid right now struggling with this. He's killing it & would be very productive varsity guy on just about every other team but unfortunately he is blocked. It's hard for him (& parents) to accept why he won't get shot. To him, it feels like it's punishment or us coaches don't like him. He's a sophomore other guys are seniors. Have to keep talking him up for he can stay motivated 2. Can't adjust to failure. So frustrating and can't tell you how many athletes who are just so use to dominating I have had who struggle & don't bounce back well from failure. When you walk out and dominate constantly, you don't learn how to react or handle getting punched in the face. You never have adversity or get practice in how to respond. You can get shell shocked. Had an athlete who was great wrestler. Went like 48-1 ( the 1 lose was a forfeit due to bloody nose that wouldn't stop) he wrestled in a weaker conference & pinned everyone usually under a minute. He got to state & could get job done because he couldnt handle being tested and didn't know how to overcome & dig deep to earn a win. Took 3rd. All season he was never pushed or tested.... Same as Hader he's not tested at all, just going out dominating like was facing little league kids. How's he going to act when actually has to face hitters who match up to him? We won't know cause Brewers won't let him
  5. Yawn.... Hader completely dominated again....what a waste. This is doing him no good. Mid as well go throw him in Helena.... Couldn't be much less challenged there. Either call him up or let him learn to deal with adversity in Colorado Springs. He is to the point where this is just a joke outside of innings pitched.
  6. Hader/Capuano, keep it lefty and good to go. Honestly, Colorado Springs has Lopez all messed up right now, Hader should never place a foot there. He needs to be skipped over. Moreover, if they are sending Wily down over going to the pen, send him to Biloxi where he can dominate a little and really figure crap out. Like with Jungmann, what is point of sending them down to Springs where you know what the result will be. Honestly, throw him in the pen and work through it. He sits 95-96 for entire start. Let him go out and fire it 97-98 for inning or two. Hopefully he can get at least on of his off-speed pitches to work for him. His fastballs are useless right now and hittable because he can not get off-speed to work at all. 95-97 is nothing when that is only pitch you need to wait for during an AB.His FB also hasn't been very heavy lately which he needs.
  7. As I say every 5th day, Peralta/Diplan days are my favorite days of the week. If Diplan harnesses control & could start to sit in the 92-94 range, he could have a very good career. He is an exciting prospect. Really intrigued with Peralta.... He kind of of has me laughing at all the Lind trade haters every time out. He continues to shine like this, he alone will have made trade worth it. Missaki may only be a Davies at best but Herrera will be very interesting to following in June-August Prince of Nottingham has been locked it during May hitting over .300. Now he's starting to see ball better, I expect power numbers to jump soon. Does Phillips huge strikeout totals bug anyone? He is really starting to show some major holes in his swing that MLB pitchers are going to pick apart.
  8. Ray is one of the few guys that will really disappoint me, too many high ceiling guys to gamble on. Don't play safe with the high floor OF who will not be much more than an average starting LF
  9. Keon Broxton is a flat out offensive force right now! Power, hits, on bases, walks.... Ks too much but boy...... If only it would translate
  10. So pretty sure Perez has walked more tonight than he did all last season! You know if is taking walks, I think he will hit for enough average to earn a big role. My issue has always been that he liked to keep OBP nearly equal to his BA.... I'm dead set against that because if I guy is slumping, he needs to still be able to contribute somehow (walk). Love the approach since coming up.
  11. OBP is finally higher than BA! Hopefully this becomes a trend for him!
  12. He has always had potential & his advanced glove has always carried him above where his bat was...holding him back seems to have allowed his bat to catch up a bit! Could see him being equal to a Rivera type pro prospect. Little less pop but think a better approach at same age (less of a free swinger)
  13. No one is stealing him from Braves. He has been locked in there since he was 14 or 15.... I'd be one of the biggest upsets if he chose to bail on them after this long
  14. 4 out of 5 nights we are in great position to lose. Our strong bullpen doesn't matter and having bats like Santana, Gennett, Lucroy, Braun, and Carter really doesn't matter when your rotation outside of one guy can't get the job done at all. Until we get some other qualities frontline arms to go with Jimmy, we will not compete.
  15. Hey whenever there is a T-Rats game, there is a chance Gatewood could earn his first walk of the season! These are the % splits for T-Rats Top Prospects. To me, the offensive players I target are guys who have 10%+ BB and 20% or less K. The closer they are, the better. Isan Diaz is pretty close to that. The rest either very high in one and good in the other, or just terrible in both.....Gatewood....ouch! Name BB% to K% (%Difference) Sharkey 9% to 17% (-8%) Diaz 12% to 21% (-9%) McDowell 4% to 18% (-14%) Belonis 2% to 18% (-16%) Denson 11% to 29% (-18%) Matos 9% to 32% (-23%) Aviles 0% to 29% (-29%) Harrison 7% to 38% (-31%) Gatewood 0% to 33% (-33%) Few guys are have some mind blowing BABIP's Matos .069 Sharkey .103 Diaz .243 Harrison if he actually makes contact is at .280 Pitching really has been outstanding for the way I judge pitchers! I focus on k% bb% (K-BB%) BAA and FIP the most.... If you have a K-BB% around 20 you are really pitching good and dominant. I like to see sub 10 BB% with 25%+ K% (usually equals 9 K/9). For BAA a sub .220 and a Sub 3 FIP. J. Perrin 32% to 0% D. Owenby 25% to 5.5% M. Diplan 31% to 10% J. Yamamoto 25.5% to 5% D. Burkhalter 19.5% to 2.5% M. Diaz 20% to 3.5% F. Peralta 25% to 9% Diaz, Burkhalter and Diplan have been extremely hard to hit! Diplan alone is only allowing hitters to hit .132 off him. Marcos Diplan over last 3 outings.... 14 IP 3H 0ER 2BB 18K Burkhalter Minus April 19th 16IP 6H 0ER 1BB 10K M. Diaz minus 4-21 16 IP 9H 3ER 2BB 14K
  16. BC is awful, at least they have Ortega....
  17. 70 strikes in 90 pitches with 14ks to go with 0bb.... Not to shabby at all!
  18. Colby loves this draft.... He knows 100x more than me = me loving this draft & what we can get at #5
  19. Kodi really bad again today. Starting to worry about Hader's inability to make it past 4-5 innings.... No matter how terrific those innings are. He needs to attack the zone more with his nasty stuff. Shocked when I noticed that I day was Arcias first double
  20. Wily & Jungmann have been bad for a long time.... Your boy Kranitz failed to fix them last season. (Jungmann was brutal the 2nd half of his season) But let's forget about that completely Chase Anderson is what he is..... Sorry Johnson in 2 months hasn't turned him into a sparkling ace that you must think he is capable of.... He's a #5, everyone & children who have heard of him know that. What are you expecting? Davies is Davies.... I don't know how you are going to blame Johnson for a young kid getting called up & not pitching great. I think that's more Davies fault than anyone else. Kid throws as hard as a high school pitcher and is 100% reliant on pinpoint command of fastball/change up to stand a chance. When you are throwing 87-88mph over the plate, bad things happen. Jimmy is our Ace.... But fire Johnson because he isn't elite enough yet right? Maybe you should put some guys who actually touch the baseball first....
  21. Marcos Diplan & Freddy Peralta days are my favorites
  22. I'm not worried yet, even Diaz has greatly fallen off. Reminds me of Brandon Diaz last year & a few others. I'll give them to end of May/early June before I really start to worry. You are right, it is pretty disappointing though. Expected a lot more from them
  23. As it has been said, we will end up with one of the elite players in draft. This season there no sure fire, can't miss, type guy (a Bryce Harper), and really the class is just deep. There are probably at least 8-10 guys who all could easily go in top 5 depending on how much a certain team likes them. I think it is almost easier to debate who we hope Isnt there at #5 over who we hope is there. I for one would like to see Ray & Senzel off board. Get ride of from being options. Senzel I could live with. Hitting machine, will probably never offer ton of pop from corner though. Ray is a good ball player but that's the issue, I feel he will always just be good. High floor but ceiling isn't as high as others. I've started to come around on Puk a little bit. Hopefully he isn't just a lefty Jungmann.... Needs to start to command & locate stuff
