  1. Rogers was an all-state soccer player, and an NHL draft prospect with D1 hockey offers. He was a pretty dynamic athlete. Thanks, didn't remember that about him. So I'll def say I was wrong on that one haha
  2. As we all know Roache very well could be a Khris Davis, Nelson Cruz type bat. Before his serious wrist injury, most thought he was a Top 5, lock in Top 10 talent. Some guys take a little longer to fully click but his bat has a lot to offer if he can keep improving. In today's baseball, his power is something that is in demand.
  3. Jeremy Jeffress is now a lights out closer.... He threw 100 in high school... That's all I got lol The only real thing I can compare for Rogers & Pint are the huge 97-100 mph fastball & worry about mechanics. Rogers arm was also not as abused as other pitchers & still didn't help him avoid injuries. Both have a really nice 2nd pitch. Rogers had a nice curve coming out, change lacked a little bit. Pints change sounds to be encouraging. Ping is an outstanding athlete and may be an all state type basketball player if I remember right. Rogers was not the same dynamic type athlete
  4. Only way Pint falls to 5 is if: Puk goes beast mode rest of season (putting Pint #3 pitcher in draft, Perez cements himself as premium player in top 4, & one team loves the college bats Ray of Senzel. Maybe Rutherford slips in top 4 as well. All possible of course Big thing is that his mechanics & velocity scare teams (Mark Rogers type prospect) great thing is his parents sheltered his arm a ton so it's pretty fresh with few miles on it.
  5. ...wow! My best friend lives in Breck & said they got 3 feet in like 4 hours haha he was a at the pool the week before snapping pictures.... Little bit of s turn around
  6. I was shocked when he was held back from Bilixi but hopefully Hader is moved up soon to open up a spot for him
  7. That fact that Panda doesn't personally feel there is anything wrong with is weight is the biggest issue.... If he can't even realize that, no way he improves, and he is useless
  8. Angel Ortega is starting to catch my eye! Already a defensive Ace, if his bat keeps looking this good, he could still at least be a Rivera type prospect. Already 25% of the way to his yearly walk total
  9. How so? His stat line is horrid. 10 for 22 with 2BB, 2 2B,2 SB in last 6 games.... Now .333 average with .755 OPS for season... His Ks are not much... Didn't say he was having career performance however, from looks of it, he's starting to come on. Needs more Ks & power but season is FAR from horrid.
  10. Only has one walk so far but at least he has found his stroke so far this season
  11. I don't see the Cain comp at all. I've always said he could be a Michael Brantley ceiling type player & in his prime increase power numbers but size & skill set, he is much closer to Brantley. When you compare to Cain it is usually someone who is a big uber athlete who has raw baseball skills....a late bloomer. A Broxton. No one ever doubted power was most likely be part of Cains game. Taylor's career is def not over & last year he struggled as one of the youngest kids in AA. That happens. However, he needs to make adjustments at the plate before he can even be considered for MLB. He has been over matched in AA....that's somehow going to change & improve by promoting him to MLB?
  12. ^ correct So all you have to do is suit up & play bad AA baseball for a year.....show absolutely no ability that you can be an effective baseball player, and have to repeat the level in order to get called up to be everyday CF? Hate on Broxton, Flores, Niuwenhuis & even triple A options but everyone of the have at least experienced some success in AA & AAA. Taylor has not. He looks more like a minor 4th OF than he does MLB starter
  13. “I had a rough day yesterday, so I kind of expanded my zone,” said Neuhaus. “When you have a bad day like that, you have to flush it, trash it. Act like it never happened. You have to do that on good games, too, because every day is a new day, a new opportunity.” Have to love the maturity & mindset for the still young & 20 Tucker Neuhaus. Really starting to wonder if he is turning corner to being the prospect we were hoping we got after he was drafted.
  14. I love Mickey! Guy can flat out hit! He is like a Joangtel Segovia hit tool type player with much more speed and ability to stick in CF. Never will have much power but if as long as he hits, walks, and plays defense the way he is capable of, he will be an everyday CF. Issue is, Blake offers much more bang for you buck since he has the hit tool, the power, good speed, and is much more of the middle of the order bat you hope for. Mickey will be a good lead-off hitter but will never have the ceiling of Rutherford to produce the big middle of order numbers.
  15. Everything falls on our rotation. At end of the day, we know Nelson will put us in a position to win every 5th day. Outside of him we have 4 guys who need to prove worth. Our pullpen is a stregth when we go with our big guns (Torres & Freeman are only to I am not confident in) Our offense has potential to keep use competitive if our rotation continues to pitch well (not like Peralta and Jungmann's one outting)
  16. Lindell had a pretty nice debut last year and hope he takes a big step in Helena along with Fortuno. Walters is a guy I think has a chance to really improve if he can get the ball over the plate. His command was awful last season. Looking at pictures of him from this spring and post off-season, he has began to fill out a ton! Hopefully we will see a hike in his velocity to go along with it. If Tyrone Perry was taking care of his body and treated it like he was a professional athlete who is not a Defensive Tackle....he would top my charts but simple fact we was completely healthy (I tweeted multiple people all saying he was indeed not injured) and did not appear in one single game this spring....something doesn't add up. Drafted at 260, was 305 for Fall league, really wonder what he reported to camp at. Carlos Belonis is a big sleeper for me and has been since his first DSL game. I have just been waiting for him to put all his tools together, seems like he is getting there. Dustin Houle is 100% healthy and proving himself again this season! He is solid behind the plate and his bat has just been really good since last season. He has a chance to at least be a backup to Nottingham in the future.
  17. It should be noted that Diplans first game was like 25 degrees with 30mph & snow..... Call after 5. Hard to fault him for struggling
  18. I don't know if 'meh" is fair for a 25% K rate and sub 4 era in the most hitter friendly league in pro ball at 3.2 years younger than league average. Not so much. Yeah Wisconsin is pretty neutral.... Not more of an advantage either way. Any teams out in Colorado, Neveda, Cali are your hitter leagues. (PCL & Cali League). Florida & south eastern leagues (FSL) tend to favor pitchers Remember Lopez was so bad at Wisconsin they sent him all the way to the DSL. He showed nothing until BC. Diplan is showing his stuff but he is a young power thrower learning to pitch. Edit thought you were talking MWL & not Pioneer League, my bad
  19. Isan Diaz & Monte Harrison doing damage early!
  20. Is there any other risers Colby that may be in discussion? Nolan Jones, Josh Lowe Ian Anderson type guys. Or any college guys flying up board that Brewers may be interested in. Have heard anyone else they have been connected to at all or like?
  21. Don't think another needed a walk off like Sir Jacob Nottingham did! Maybe Coulter but either way hope that is the spark! He he gets hot.... This Biloxi team is something else
  22. David Stearns, Luis Pena..... Get him!
  23. Lol I don't feel it's that bad, not 2005 like we were hoping for or one with 4-5 Aces but we get a real nice prospect still. Ceiling of Lowe, Rutherford, Perez, Pint , Groome all get me very excited. Puk.... No please. Ray meh, Lewis mixed on. Senzel, I'll live with, he'll give you a high average bat at hot corner who can move quick. Conner Jones is a hard working middle rotation guy who seems safe to at least a #5 type. Not much ceiling but solid
  24. Good pitch dual between Hader & Banda Hopefully Stokes is okay, been off to great start. If DL wonder if Rubio is activated or Clark comes up
  25. Hansen was kicked out of rotation I believe, he is a 2nd round flyer as of right now I think. He has huge arm but a lot of work. Lowe, Rutherford, Perez, Groome, Pint..... One of them has to be there at 5. Lot of good arms that should be sitting there with pick 2. There is good depth in pitching just not a ton of elite arms at the top.
