  1. I didn't have anything to do this afternoon so I spend 4 1/2 hours voting for Corey and listening to the Brewers win! Hope to hear something good soon for Corey.
  2. Just throwing this out there to see if anyone has interest in any kind of swap. I have a number of different things I could trade. Am looking for structures, engines, and select RR cars as I build my layout. Included in what I can offer are a Few Cinci and Orioles minor league bobbles along with pat listach signed photo, ned yost auto'd plastic batting helmet, kevin mench signed ball, dale svuem auto'd card, scotty po game used jersey card, maybe a select few crew bobbles, maybe even some cards if I have what you're looking for. Let me know if anyone has anything to trade. PM me on here. Thanks!
  3. BrewCrewin2004 sent you a reply with an offer.
  4. What are you guys looking for for trade? I also can't make it, willing to trade if there's a deal we can work out.
  5. Also have both Overbays and the Carlos Lee. PM me with an offer if interested.
  6. Well if this doesn't make someone laugh, I don't know what will. My H.S. ride was whatever I rode to school in. Whether it was my mom's turd brown ford tempo or my buddies' Ford Festiva. I had it so good!
  7. Oh yeah. That bat is sweet. Wish I could find a good display case for it. I wouldn't mind that Sheets pic either. Heh.
  8. Mine was a Hulk Hogan pic I found a while back. Being a wrestling fan since a kid, Hogan was my fav while growing up in the 80's. He seems to be fully retired for a while now, so I will probably find another one. Just have to figure out what I want to put there. I'll have to agree with you ewizabeff on your nephew. Well at least till my wife and I have a child. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  9. Same here, could anyone help me out with getting one or 2. The wife seems to want one. I guess it's cause Prince is her favorite player. Have a few things to trade but not a ton.
  10. Thought site rules preclude people from selling tickets for over face value. Could be wrong, but I thought that was the restriction.
  11. The NCAA has a couple of problems with the 'big money' sports. The biggest one is the disadvantage the kids have when 'their' coach leaves. They need to pass a rule that allows for the kids to be able to play right away if their coach decides to bail on them. I know it would never pass because then you would have alot of players transfering ever year and then accusations of 'under the table recruiting' would probably happen. It's muddy waters for sure. I wish Tom the best of luck in his new job. I understand why he took it too. One was definitely the money. He's a midwest guy and was a long time Big Ten assistant. I personally think Tom will do well at IU and be lauded for his accomplishments. Although I personally hope Bo kicks his butt every year. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif I realized when Crean's name first came up a couple years ago that one day there would be a job he couldn't pass up. Didn't think it would be IU, but hey do we ever really see the blindsides coming? It's apparent that Crean didn't want Marquette to know he might leave. Seems convenient that all the higher ups at MU were out of town when this happened. Guess he really wanted to leave and didn't want to give Marquette a chance to give him a reason to stay. Oh well, life moves on. It's only college basketball, right?
  12. Well just got home and here is some very interesting Brewers news. So we released the pitching rain delay. Not sure this will be a big deal guys. Vargas was very average IMO. This is one of the reasons he has been shuffled around a number of times. He hasn't impressed anyone in the past to the point they'd keep him and didn't impress Doug enough to the point he wanted to waste 3M on a guy who wasn't going to be in the rotation or even in Milwaukee. I've always relied on the credo 'In Doug We Trust'. Still have no reason not too. The Brewers will be fine and will find someone if needed. One other thing I've noticed that really makes me grind my teeth. Everyone just assumes Sheets will be injured this year. Can we stop that? Until Benny actually has an injury that isn't a freak one how can we fairly assume he'll be injured?
  13. You what's even funnier that having this be the opener? Is that when you wake up and turn on your satellite to watch the game and it says 'searching for satellite signal' for the whole game. Both on ESPN2 and NESN. All other channels worked for me this morning. I loved watching Mike and Mike, then hearing Buster Olney say the exact same thing and he was listening to the game on the radio. I thought that was the best part this morning of this MLB fiasco.
  14. I can understand the points being made. Supply and demand is what makes the economy work. If people are willing to pay top dollar for someone's tickets, why not sell them. It's like would u sell a ticket for an event if you could get like a grand or something. Guess the pure Brewers fan in me gets mad when people try to make a profit; when we have so many die hard people on this board that are great, nice people but just can't afford to camp out or get season tickets, like me because I live out of state. Guess it just hit a nerve the day I was on here. I am thankful to all who post on here. We have a great group. Let supply and demand reign supreme!
  15. I'm so glad I found someone that isn't looking to profit from having opening day tickets. Just think people should offer them to brewerfan members at face value and if they can't find anyone then go the ebay route. Just think the mods shouldn't allow this because usually these tickets go for more than face value which as I understand is against site rules. Sorry just my little rant.
  16. I'd love that bat but I'd have to agree with billyhallfan on this one. Not sure if brewcrew was being sarcastic, but I'm not sure I could justify 250 bucks for a bat either.
  17. If I've learned anything about ebay, those tickets will go up a good deal as the end moves closer. I'll actually be surprised if they don't. I worked out something with someone else without going the ebay route. Was the only brewerfan person who had any to offer other than going the ebay route.
  18. Dirk wouldn't have played in Milwaukee no matter what. Dirk was said to have only been willing to come to the US if he played for Don Nelson. They essentially handcuffed the Bucks when Traylor was picked at 6. Still don't get why they liked him so much. If the Bucks ended up hiring a competent GM like Jerry West I would be completely shocked because that would mean Kohl would have to stop all his meddling and actually allow someone to get trades done. I just think the Bucks will continue to be bad as long as Kohl has his flunkies okay decisions for the GM. That is utterly ridiculous. It's like Doug Melvin having to get approval from some lawyer of Mark A's before making a trade. The thought of that is just ludicrous to me.
  19. Besides having back surgery, a number of you on here have made my week a bright spot. Hawing, thanks alot helping us find tickets.
  20. Would love to get those but we can't do that day, my wife has a conference. She really wants to go to opening day, so that's what I'm trying to see if I can find from any of the wonderful people here on brewerfan.
  21. Hello everyone. Without going the overpaying route because of a limited budget, I would like to check here first to see if I can find any opening day tickets. I live in Michigan after moving away from Milwaukee 3 years ago. I got married and converted my wife to a Brewers fan. I think she is more excited about the season starting than I am; it's a very attractive quality. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Anyways, she keeps asking me if I can get opening day tickets. It would be her first opening day experience and my first in 4 years. Being a former season ticket holder it drives me a little nuts that I can't make more games. I'm sure some of the other out of state people share in that sediment. Anyways, if anyone can help me fulfill this dream of here I would be much in someone's debt and could even send something besides the money if you can help me out. Either PM me or just post on here if anyone in the Brewerfan nation can help me out. The one problem I run into when looking for tickets is we can't go to any Sunday games because my wife is a pastor, so obviously Sunday is kinda important for us. The brewerfan nation is a very generous lot so maybe someone out there will be willing to help us out. Thanks for reading this and thanks to anyone that is willing to help us out. Mike
  22. Would love to go the opener my wife would love it. Would be her first one. Although right now we can't afford to buy 7 other games as well since we live in Michigan. Maybe over the course of the year I would buy 7 but not all at once. I'd be happy to buy the opening day tickets if you'd sell them and maybe another game. PM me.
  23. Jamie, I'd love a T-bow bobblehead but the living in Michigan and having surgery tomorrow probably prevent me from picking up the bobblehead soon.
