  1. So...Onora is a joke back there. Votto's AB makes no sense. Not that this needs repeating.
  2. Pitching matchups look fairly even here. Split seems most likely (and I'd take it), but 3 of 4 would really be nice heading into the break. Go Crew.
  3. Well, for all the hand-wringing, that's a winning road trip. And a week's lead in the division. I'll take it.
  4. When was the last time Box worked? I've got no issue with him starting the 6th here, but I do think CC has to be a bit quicker on the contingency, esp with a guy who might well be a bit rusty.
  5. Yeah, that slider is something. Pretty clear to me, DS and co. think the bullpen is deep/some sort of market inefficiency. That cuts against what some on here think, and I only really trust Hader at this point, but the needle is definitely moving on some of these other guys...
  6. Be real nice to add on given a short pen. Anderson has been sharp, but I don't trust him to get 9 more outs. Edit: I guess CC doesn't trust him to get 3 more (though maybe they are easing him back after the injury).
  7. So, worst case scenario: Brewers have a 5 game lead going into a 4-game series with the 2nd place Reds. Win tonight, it's 6. Either way, that's fine, and better than expected. But a 4-3 road trip and a 6-game lead would feel much better.
  8. I really would have gone with Cousins or Sanchez or even Strickland here. Suter just seems an odd choice, even though I like him. Easy to say now, I guess.
  9. CP3 is really good. Took him some time to get in the flow, but man. Really tough to stop.
  10. Home court is great and, according to 538, worth a little more than two points this year. They've got the Suns as about a 2 to 1 favorite. That seems right. The one plus for the Bucks: I've been to so many high-pressure basketball games where homecourt is a double-edged sword. It comes with lots of pressure. That's probably not a big deal in the NBA, but the Bucks should be the looser team and should be more in rhythm given the amount of off time for PHX. If they're going get one on the road, I'd say tonight's the better shot.
  11. Would figure a Wednesday double-header would be in order if they can't fit it in...depends on just how "scattered" those t-storms are, I guess. With DeGrom going, wouldn't mind about an hour and a half delay around about the 3rd inning...
  12. The Brewers are 3-2 on this road trip. 4-3 against the Pirates and Mets would be fine. They cleaned up against the softest part of the schedule. The next 40 or so aren't easy, but I'm hoping for something like 22-18 before the schedule gets pretty hard for the last 30ish. This feels like the opposite of 2018 to me. Might have to hang on to win the division against tough competition. Bottom line: they'te in about the best spot we could hope for. Get one in NY, and at least 4 against the Reds in these next 7, and you're really putting pressure on everyone, esp with our pitching.
  13. I think they'll get to Anderson in the next couple frames, though I hope they don't regret that silly bunt from Freddy. Feels like today will be a tight affair.
  14. So, either Kaminsky gets a ring, or the Bucks do. Win-win for Wisconsin basketball (blue). In all seriousness, very exciting week to be a Wisconsin sports fan. Doesn't happen often. Enjoying it as much as possible.
