  1. Was just thinking that too...he's so well-rested, short, efficient inning. Maybe he gets at least a hitter.
  2. Yeah, not sure if Murphy forgot what inning it is or just has some sort of matchup data/hunch. Should I laud his flexibility? Or question his judgment? I'll wait for the results and use the benefit of hindsight.
  3. O/U tonight is 9? Not a bettor here, but that seems crazy low to me. Feel like it might take nine to win. (So, 1-0 it is?)
  4. Cubs lose. Probably not a big mathematical difference between a 7-game and an 8-game lead. But it feels like we need to stretch this given the schedules down the stretch. Honestly, I still expect this will be a close-ish race. The Cubs feel like they have a run in them, and we might face a 4- or 5-game L streak at some point. Every notch off the magic number counts.
  5. Best regular season run of my life. What a team. My favorite part of today was Mona PHing for Turang and turning in like an 8-pitch AB while up 12-5 in the 9th. This team is a bunch of baseball sickos.
  6. This makes sense to me. I think I'm higher than a lot of folks on Woody staying here, just because I don't think his market is going to be THAT robust. Maybe I end up wrong. Be curious to see where it lands.
  7. This team, man. Things turn so quickly on baseball, and I kind of felt like this one might turn on us hard at 6-3. But the offense just grinds and responds again. Let's hope Tobias can give us some professional innings here.
  8. I have never seen a team go from first to third on hits to left field as often as the Brewers do. It's nuts. The joy of watching this team every day is seeing all the things nobody else can see.
  9. I have also been vomiting realizing how much we are like a lot of Cardinal teams of my lifetime. And I like it.
  10. Yeah, The Discourse will happen in October, like always. But who cares? This team rules. Forever.
  11. I know Brice can handle short, but I LOVE him at 2nd and don't want to mess with it. He's just incredible at the keystone.
  12. Hoping this is not a TJ situation. Feel bad for Henderson. Of course, then there's the luxury of being able to call up Myers. Depth is good.
  13. We have two extra spots come September, so that will help roster crunch wise. Vaughn and Priester have been so so crazy good. Like, the only other Brewer trade acquisitions I can remember with that kind of impact were Adames and CC. Maybe I'm missing someone. But holy crap is that ever good company.
  14. To each their own. My own impression was that Murphy seemed more worried about Chuorio. I believe Curt Hogg asked him "spasm means worst case scenario avoided?" and Murphy firmly and adamantly said we have to wait and see. Intonation very much "I wouldn't say that, and I'm not going to comment further." A bit different with Sal since Murphy offered day-to-day. But, yeah, this is all just searching for something to go on. We are still okay in the OF for right now, but hopefully Sal isn't out much longer than a couple days.
  15. I imagine he got an MRI right away, just like Sal did. I don't really get why there's not an equivalent diagnosis, but the good news is there are 60 days+ until the playoffs, and you just hope he's is ready in 30 or 45.
  16. All in all, a successful series. Disappointing to not get the sweep, but this is coming down to the last week. Nats and Braves this week. Be nice to post a lot of wins and pick up a game or two.
  17. Yeah, I don't think this is quite true. This outcome is unsatisfying to everyone, but you'd still rather have the Brewers side of it.
  18. Looking at schedules, and the Cubs is pretty tough the next couple weeks? O's (smoking hot offensively right now), Reds, Cards, Blue Jays. Then the Pirates and the 5-gamer with us. I thought Sal got that off the bat.
  19. It's hard for me to process Vaughn's .681 OPS, considering he spent weeks in triple AAA and has been mashing for the last month. How bad must he have been in Chicago? Geez.
