  1. Should have let Lohse finish the game. He earned the right
  2. Anyone get the feeling that this could be a special season? It seems like the Brewers are catching all the lucky breaks right now. The defense has had sloppy moments. In prior seasons that would have cost the Brewers games. Instead other teams have made errors and the Brewers have benefited from it. The Brewers are the ones getting the lucky bounces for once. I don't know maybe I'm drinking too much of the kool-aid, but this team gives me a good vibe. Last time I felt like this was 2011. I don't know if this team is better. The lineup is still great and the pitching is doing very well at the moment. What I know for sure is better is the left side of the infield. Segura is 100x better than Yuni. Ramirez beats Casey McGehee by a country mile.
  3. I think the problem was it was more of a line drive than a fly ball, so looked like it was going to be a hit and gave him less time to react (the crowd and announcers reacted like it was going to be a hit too). Still a mistake but not sure it makes Davis a "moron"... Maybe not a moron, but it was definitely a dumb mistake.
  4. wooohhoooo!!! alright davis time to redeem yourself. a sac fly would be okay.
  5. seriously? There is no promise he'd score there, the left fiedler had his momentum coming to the plate, odds are, he could have been gunned down just as easy as scoring a run.. He's on 3rd. The only way he doesn't score is if he trips. No excuse whatsoever for failing to score. I don't care if you're a rookie. This is something that they teach you in little league. Can't believe the moron is in the majors and he can't judge fly balls properly.
  6. How many pitchers who consistently nibble get borderline pitches called their way? Depends who you play for. Most Cardinals, Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers, and Giants pitchers get the calls. A small-market team like the Brewers won't get the ''favored son'' treatment. Gallardo isn't a household name either.
  7. Pretty good. He's given up 2 runs but his pitch is below 100 through six. Umpire hasn't been friendly to Gallardo.
  8. At least the Brewers didn't blow the lead. Umpires hate Gallardo. I've never seen him get the close calls.
  9. Well you can buy MLB.tv or the audio, or do some hunting on the Internet... All my usual go to sites don't have baseball links. I miss hearing Uecker call games. I'll look into the MLB audio thing.
  10. any way for an out of state brewers fan to see the game or hear the radio feed?
  11. Nice rebound after a shaky start. It'd be nice if the ump would call strikes both ways
  12. Yes it is a really big deal to lose the feeling in your thumb. For example if you lose the feeling in your thumb you won't know how hard you are gripping a ball which can lead to blisters and can result in other injuries to the arm, shoulder, hand, elbow, and wrist. You can also lose the feeling of your grip on other objects like a bat. This can lead to more severe problems for a baseball player resulting in a loss of power and bat speed. If my memory serves me correctly I believe Farve also had an injury similar to this and I believe it took a few years for him to recover from it. Favre seemed to recover very well. Maybe Braun can do the same thing. The risk for re-injury is much higher in football than it is in baseball. Victorino got it fixed right?
  13. If you were GM of the Brewers and you thought Braun's thumb injury was a big problem, would you consider trading him? If his injury is that bad, then he may never return to pre-2011 production levels. If that's the case, then he isn't worth his salary. Of course this is a worst case scenario. If it does come down to this then maybe Milwaukee should dump him and spend that money on another star player. Braun could bring back a nice haul of pitching prospects. I wonder why he's against surgery. Is it really that big of a deal to lose feeling in your thumb?
  14. Holy jeepers Batman a sweep!! I would've never thought that the Brewers would sweep the Red Sox at Fenway. WOOHOO!!! I haven't been this excited about Brewers baseball since 2011!
  15. Fred Lynn won as a Rookie in 1975, who is the only other player win ROY and MVP in the same season? None other than Ichiro Suzuki in 2001
  16. You can tell he's thinking about running to first the entire at-bat. I don't think Gomez is a cerebral ballplayer. He's more of a ''just do it'' kind of player.
