  1. holy crap they beat the cards in st. louis!!! new strategy when the brewers play the cards....bench all the star hitters except for gomez...
  2. I'd go with Lohse. He seems like he'd be able to keep his emotions under control. Garza's got wicked good stuff, but he's got a temper. I could see the pressure getting to him and him snapping. Yo keeps his cool, but he nitpicks at the corners too much. Most umps hate that and call balls. Marco would be my 2nd choice. Cool, wily veteran.... Wily is too young for that big of a job. We'll have to wait and see how he does the rest of the year. Without a doubt K-Rod is who I call on in the 9th to seal the deal. That is the Brewers most clutch pitcher by a landslide.
  3. holy mother of..... yikes! please let there be a rainout! bad spot for RRR. there a few guys that obviously need to rest, but the bench options stink. quick someone rub pinetar on Lynn's neck! maybe they'll suspend the game...
  4. keep it low. molina isn't going anywhere. up by 2 there's no reason to go high
  5. It's 1B not SS or 2B. He's been in the majors for a few years now. He shouldn't be making boneheaded mistakes like that. The ball was nowhere near his zone. He shouldn't have left the bag. Fortunately the Brewers survived his blunder.
  6. This is the one time I think it's ok to say that the Brewers achieved a moral victory here. Even if they lose tonight's game, coming back to tie it at the house of horrors is a big mental win. Now we just have to hope that Aramis is ok.
  7. Someone should tell Davis to be a little more patient at the plate since he's starting out. It's going to take him some time to recognize major league pitches consistently. This kid misses often and he looks ugly as heck doing it.
  8. I love it when important players get injured in stupid ways. Segura's dumb butt walking into Braun's bat is at the top of the list though.
  9. please let there be a giant rainstorm! toss in a little bit of lightning too. a postponement would be a win!
  10. lol nevermind I just saw the lineup. I thought the Roenicke forfeit special was only on series finales? looks like they'll have to win 2 in a row.
  11. They have 3 in StL, then 4 in Cincny ahh that's much better then! Cincy sucks. Brewers should take 3 out of 4 from the Reds.
  12. Hopefully. Even if not I'm fine with 2-of-3, just worried that this type of game can be a momentum killer. agreed, I'd like all the momentum possible heading towards St. Louis, on the other hand if they do come back and win that would give us amazing momentum Knowing how bad the Brewers are against the Cardinals, I would have pushed hard for a win today. The Brewers are just as likely to swept in St. Louis as they are to split. A win against the Cubs would soften the blow of whatever bad result comes in the St. Louis series. Ugh I hate playing the Cards. Not looking forward to the next four days.
