Brewers offseason trades

I'm not going to look up the targeted players, but I assume trades 1 and 2 are trading our spare parts for some caliber of prospects. Hard to call any of them spare parts as we are losing some solid players. Trade 3 is the key though. That's definitely a quantity over quality trade, but they would stand to potentially get 5 solid players for 2 years of 1 catcher. Aguilar is a stud now, Nottingham would likely open on the 25 man in 2019, and the other 3 could all make legit contributions in 2019...with diplan being the furthest out. A lot of value there. Nobody like Peralta/Burnes/etc in this trade, but at this point the value on those guys is through the moon. Teams had their chances to get those guys, it didn't work out. I wouldn't trade Burnes for Realmuto straight up at this point, and I'm not sure I'd trade Hiura and Burnes for Degrom. The value on those young pitchers is crazy high, better to keep the young guys and use payroll dollars to supplement the roster elsewhere. -

Strongly agree. Bat flips and general excitement are one thing. Vulgar gestures like that toward what could be children in the crowd is a whole new thing and not ok. This is right up there with Randy Moss. So what if the crowd boos you? It's in reaction to you being a dirty player. I suspect it's going to be someone like Corey Knebel who retaliates as well. I would find it incredibly surprising and weak if we didn't...assuming we get an opportunity next year. Hader won't do it, and really shouldn't. Knebel is a beast, Machado wouldn't want to mess with him...he's the perfect candidates in my opinion. Or else maybe Burnes toward the tail-end of his start. -
Come on you guys. This whining is friggin pathetic. So easy to be a monday morning qb. It's been a fun season. Move on, be optimistic that we can improve

I want to bump this. I have 2 tix left in section 215 row 21. I'll do something like 275 apiece for bf.net people. I have these listed on SH as well so let me know asap if interested before they sell with all the fees. -
Just over 5 hours to gametime and about 1,800 tickets available. Down 1,300 in the past 4 hours or so. Prices seem stagnant, it was $65 and now is $69.

This is the first true must-win game of the season. Even the play-in game wasn't a must win. I honestly think this game decides the series. If we win today, I think we carry the momentum to a win tomorrow. Might somewhat depend on bullpen availability. I hope he isn't shy about reliever usage today. It's a must win, figure out tomorrow when we get there...I'll be annoyed if he "saves" anybody for a game tomorrow.

Last year I paid $35/ticket for loge infield, the single game price varies with their dynamic pricing but loge infield is usually 40-60 on non-cub game days. I can tell you you'll have significant trouble getting rid of any weekday games at cost, SH prices get super low for those games. People going to only 5-10 games are usually better off trying to capitalize on the deal games, unless they specifically want cubs tickets or want postseason priority. The amount of promotions available to cheapen ticket prices is significant, and it is probably far more expensive to just get 20 games and sell 10 then it is to go to 5-10 games on discount days...or to just go on stubhub on low demand days and snag tickets for half of face value.

It's hard to feel bad for someone with that kind of attitude. Perhaps leaving tickets for those that want to attend the game but dont want to pay an absurdly marked up price is the way of the future. Or maybe not, who knows? I'd tend to agree to be honest. Half this guys career posts on the board are in the trading post section, makes you wonder how often he comes here aside from trying to sell tickets.

That's surprising. With the password I was given that I looked with at 9:30 this morning, there were 4 together in all the field level sections. I didn't look loge or club because I was happy enough with field level seats considering the price difference is minimal. The field level seats were all good to the point that I assumed all sections had pretty good availability.

I would be shocked if any of Yelich, Cain, Braun, Shaw, Moustakas didn't start. Outside chance Perez starts at SS, but I suspect they go with Arcia there. I believe his HR at home came in game 2 off Ryu. Then you have a catcher. That pretty much leaves 1 spot for Santana/Aguilar/Perez/maaaaaybe Granderson. If he starts Schoop at 2nd, I'm going to charge the field and kick CC in the nuts.

I tend to agree on Kershaw. Game 7 of the NLCS is different than game 7 of the WS. Maybe he does but that would be bold and severely handicap them for the WS.

The problem is it's really dangerous to use your only back-up catcher in any close game. You burn him as a PH and he's done. What if Kratz gets hurt or ejected? Disaster. Same thing if you bring Pina in to catch but he gets hurt or something. I'm not sure that's a risk they can afford to take, even if Pina is hitting really well lately. Pina is probably a 9th inning or extra innings PH option if we don't have other available...assuming they start Kratz. FWIW, Pina is 0-1 with a wak against Jansen career. Worth noting since he would likely face Jansen if he got an AB today.

Plus over $30 in fees so about $100 a ticket if you're looking to go to the game tonight. Really? WOW. StubHub makes out like bandits. 10% on sellers and that'd be nearly 50% on buyers! On a $65 ticket, SH charges $15.10 service fee and $2.00 fulfillment fee to the buyer. They also take 10% from the seller. Sell gets $58.50 and buyer pays $82.10 per ticket. I figured this all out by clicking on a $65 ticket.

I see tickets going down still. 3100 available yet and 9 hours to gametime. I'd still be in wait and see mode if I didn't have tickets.

+1. I feel so much more positive and optimistic today than I felt after the game Wednesday. Letting the losses settle and realize we have a fully rested bullpen and our top 2 starters going in must win games...i think we have a real chance in both. We outplayed the Dodgers pretty significantly in games 1 and 2, and only lost 2 due to the bullpen meltdown. If we can win today, I could see the stage being a bit too big for Buehler on Saturday. He struggled with it in his first postseason start, knowing he's starting game 7 might result in a similar struggle.

I just got the password from my rep and there were a ton of seats available still. I went with some sort of field level infield seats in a good section. I think there's going to be a surprising number available in the WI presale, I really hope they don't all go to johnny resale and his software.

I can understand going with Kratz, but I'd prefer to get Pina in there for the offense. I also like the idea of going Santana in Aguilar's spot with Braun at 1b, I just don't think it happens. Also there's an outside chance they go Perez at 2b and Shaw at 1b with Perez hitting 5th. Both Santana and Perez are probably less than 5% chance of happening, this is probably the lineup with the most likely variation being at catcher.

How loud will the boos be for Machado after his dirty plays in LA? I'm guessing louder than any boo Braun has ever heard.

Miller Park Environment for NLCS Games 6 & 7

I watched something similar happen game 1 or 2 of the NLCS. We saw what looked like a 15 or 16 year old girl complaining to like 5 staff members and a police officer that looked like The Rock. Apparently some guy sat in this girls seat when she got up and refused to leave. The guy was a burly upper 20s type guy that had been drinking and I believe he was asked to leave the stadium. It was The Rock clone that did all the talking, I can't even imagine how intimidating that must have been...guy probably needed a change of clothes after that encounter. -
They can try their best, but they'll never stop reselling. There will probably be more seats available for joe blow this way on monday, but a majority of those will get snatched up by joe resale using software and hundreds of accounts and any profit will go out of state. They are best off selling tickets primarily in person if they want to keep them away from scalpers

I talked to my old rep Jason and he said he'd provide a code tomorrow morning. He did want to feel convinced that I 100% planned to use the tickets and not sell. Not that he could stop me once I get the code, but i have no intention of selling on SH for profit. Especially not the extras through presale, I'm thrilled to get to pick a seat location I want... assuming i can get something at least decent.

I'm thinking Moustakas-Schoop-Hiura-Shaw would not be bad (I think Schoop rebounds next year). Nice to have the problem of figuring out where to put all the talent. You should probably go Braun at SS instead of Schoop, with Aguilar in CF, Davies catching, and Suter as the opening day starter...
