  1. For Zach Davies Per Lookout Landing ‏@LookoutLanding 21m21 minutes ago Also hearing Gerardo Parra going from Milwaukee to Baltimore for Zach Davies.
  2. Since the front office can't make any trades happen, Brandon Beachy just DFA'd by Dodgers, would be an interesting pickup Edit: Literally posted 2 minutes before Astros Trade
  3. Such a dysfunctional front office, deals should have been closed, I blame Mark A and Doug for this mess.
  4. Flores and Wheeler
  5. Relatively new to the boards but love seeing the insight from everyone. Just wondering with all the speculation, names thrown out and different teams, anyone nailed a Melvin trade on these boards since he's been GM? He seems like he's a little more secretive on trades than some other GM's.
  6. What about Logan Schafer
  7. Package Lucroy and K. Davis for a bunch of young arms http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2015/07/braves-seeking-young-catcher-trade.html Atlanta is looking to buy offense at C and LF
  8. If Lohse can right the ship in the next couple starts and not repeat his first 3, possibly, we traded Axford to them for Blazek a couple years ago so not out of the question. Oh and Wainwright said its time for the DH in the NL so pitchers don't get injured, the Cardinals wrote the MLB rule book, so Manfred better be making some amendments ASAP!!!
  9. Everyone should email him their thoughts on the state of the franchise. I emailed him last week at mark.attanasio@brewers.com and he replied back the same day saying they were working on a game plan to address the current situation. He needs to know everyone's thoughts on where to go from here. Smart people are on these boards that are very insightful and he clearly doesn't have a vision or a clue if nothing changes from this current state.
  10. I'd personally like Rod Gardenhire. He has proven success in a small market town, lives in nearby Minny and knows how to be an in game manager. This team right now is a bunch of free swingers which doesn't fit his model well, but by the end of the season, the squad will look much different. I don't want a non-experienced coach to come in or a former player like Don Mattingly, Paul Molitor, Walt Weiss or Brad Ausmus, they need someone with experience that has the teams attention from the start.
  11. Soriano was demoted from Washington's closer role for a reason last year and hasn't gone through any teams spring training/throwing programs like current MLB's have for 2.5 months. You going to try and bolster your pen on your contending team with guys like that?
  12. I think any team that is tied to Rafael Soriano, Dougie should be on the phone immediately saying we'll give you either of our back end guys free of charge for a decent prospect......Mariners now linked to Soriano, Jordy Lara possibly? AA, 1B, batted .353 with 22HR's after struggling his first couple years in low minors.
  13. At this point, maybe having the hot dog and beer sales tied into the win total. Hot Dogs will be 1/10 the cost of the wins, right now .20 up until they win 30 games. Beer Sales will be 1/10 the cost of the win total, right now .20 until they win 70 games which won't happen this year. They should also having punching bags of the Front Office individuals and Managers that fans have the opportunity to take their frustrations out on in to replace the Selig Experience
  14. It was Hank after the Braun suspension to draw the attention away from him, maybe a pet Deer, pet Robin?? If they don't fix the problem, they surely need a distraction to keep the fans at ease Let's hear some suggestions
  15. I would happily give up any arm on our club not named Peralta or Nelson for Guererro. Guy can flat out hit and has played a reasonable third base recently. Dodgers clearly don't care for him, Melvin should see what they are asking for before Melvin and the coaching staff is fired. Aramis is clearly checked out and we have no replacements.
  16. If the Red Sox don't give up Swihart, why would they want Maldonado? Sox get their Ace, still have C after Swihart is gone Philly gets their prospects and Swihart, which is supposedly the sticking point in the Hamels trade Crew gets a young 3rd Just throwing things out there, crew needs to do something to get a good young 3rd baseman and the only thing of value that I can see depth wise is Maldy or perhaps one of the SS that we recently acquired.....
  17. Three way deal between Brewers, Red Sox and Phillies Sox get Hamels, Maldonado Crew gets Cecchini Philies get Swihart, another Sox prospect Crew can utilize C at AAA Crew gets 3B depth Sox get Ace and C to replace Swihart Phillies get 2 prospects and salary relief Thoughts on this as a base?
  18. Ogando just signed for 1.5 on a one year, I'd rather have taken my chances on him for half the money, both injury prone
  19. Beat writer from Rangers said yesterday that the Rangers are not sure they'll announce it today https://twitter.com/JeffWilson_FWST
