  1. This is some solid self-ownage. Yep. Honestly, I bet you could pull up a pretty ugly looking prediction/hot take for mostly every single one of us. I thought Keon Broxton was going to be a special player. This should be a thread: What have you been most wrong about?
  2. How hard would it be to pick up a right handed option at the deadline? I'm thinking not hard? True but just seems like a bad spot to spend prospects on. Maybe they rotate Shaw and Thames with Perez getting some starts vs tough lefties? Thames actually not terrible with a .800 OPS. They played Perez there the other day, maybe actually considering it. He’s actually an instant upgrade on both sides of the ball.
  3. I don't mind going with the bigger bench. There are five pitchers in AAA on the 40-man, all pitching well, and the shuttle hasn't been running much lately. Maybe higher payroll led to a cut in the transportation budget.
  4. That’s a ball Aguilar used to hit to right. If you think about 1B, who’s the best legitimate 1B option in our minor league system? We don’t exactly have a log jam there...
  5. Not if we had a lefty who was even remotely effective vs lefties. Shaw/Thames have pretty brutal splits if I remember correctly. Almost to the point it can’t be worse...
  6. Looking at Brewers history, and even recent history... this is not a frustrating year. IMO We are in contention, it’s exciting.
  7. Last year I didn’t feel like we were as HR dependent as we are this year, and I will GLADLY take this years offense! So... look no further than last years Dodgers series as to why we needed more “power” guys.
  8. He makes me laugh Is it really worse than Bill? I actually prefer Bill. How long is he gone, or where is he?
  9. They couldn't though. You'd need to hang Houser for a long long run without taxing the whole pen. A team with an 8 man bullpen should never have to lose a game because they are afraid of pitching shortage. Tough call. If Houser can give you 2 then it’s back to manageable, especially with the off days we’ve had. It’s not like we have been afraid to shuttle a RP or two when needed in the past. Even if it was 1st and 2nd I get him batting, but runners on 2nd and 3rd I personally would’ve taken a chance with a PH.
  10. Did some dishes and we’re right back in it. Had to rewind to see what happened. Plesac... “Hiura it goes”.... Really Dan???
  11. 5-1 isn’t out of reach for the offense... 7-1 will be tougher... Yep, going to go do some dishes or something...
  12. Last pitch to Archer looked like a strike, but your not getting that call after missing all over the place the entire inning.
  13. Weird thing to say, considering he may have been our most consistent starter last year. Also, giving up a slow roller after forgetting about the runner is just crummy luck. Also a pretty big assumption that he’s going to be gone.
  14. I went back and read some of the posts from the 48 page Archer thread in the rumors section. Some posters REALLY wanted us to get Archer, and proposed some crazy packages. I’m glad we didn’t pony up for him then, and sure hope we continue to prove that decision correct by knocking him around tonight.
