  1. I really don't think that awful 0-2 pitch was lost on anyone. It's been discussed. Think he was referring to the second one of the inning on the walk off. It was equally bad as the one to Puig.
  2. Those were two brutal pitches. He really needs to be in AAA to get his control worked out. We will need his arm down the stretch.
  3. Wow, tied in extras and Yelich just relaxed and soft tosses one over the cut off. Come up and make a firm throw. That was as bad of an ending as you can get.
  4. Not sure Yelich didn't do that on his own, but if Sedar called that and I was Yelich, I'd roll my eyes Aaron Rodgers style and swing away.
  5. I always look at opponent average on the reliever stat chart. That .315 for Burnes is rough. Hopefully that starts to whittle down.
  6. I normally trust CC bullpen decisions, he’s proven correct more often than not, but there were some head scratchers tonight, most glaring letting Albers face Votto with a lefty warm in the pen.
  7. The Brewers have been very firm in controlling Hader’s rest. There are days he’s flat out unavailable. I just don’t believe he’s ever going to be over worked. Totally agree pen arms would help the team, just has no bearing on Hader’s usage.
  8. I brought up that we need some better non Hader options yesterday but was shouted down. Of course this is obvious to anyone who has watched this team for even a week but whatever. You said Hader was over worked. Two completely different things.
  9. Replay absolutely changed the way infielders tag. One of the small consequences of the technology. Still, Hiura needs to get that out.
  10. Aguilar has missed a lot of balls this year period. Fastballs down the middle, hanging breaking balls, pitches way outside the zone. It is to the point where I was slightly impressed he hit a fly out to the outfield. He didn't strikeout or roll over a weak ground ball Lol, yep. That list could be real long. Hanging breaking balls, good breaking balls, fastballs, sliders, change ups, batting practice balls, prolly whiffle balls, and I’ve heard a tee ball at one point...
  11. The posts against Houser starting have me sort of perplexed. He started all through the minors didn’t he? I always thought of him as a SP prospect. I thought he was used in the pen out of necessity this year ala Woodruff and Burnes last year. I think it all becomes a moot point once Gio is back. My guess is they go with Woodruff Davies Chacin Anderson Gio If that’s the case Houser helps deepen the pen. He’s got good stuff.
  12. Me too! I said in a different thread that getting him settled into the rotation and throwing well is the equivalent of an acquisition only without giving up the prospects. Disagree on Houser though, I think he’s got good enough stuff to be a starter.
  13. We need a healthy and productive Cain in the second half. Shut him down through the all star break and let that hand heal up. What’s the sense of letting it get worse.
  14. If the Brewers being 5 games over and 1 game back is gross you have some crazy standards.
