  1. If he’s not a free agent till 32 my answer might be never. Why pay a premium price for a pitcher in his mid 30’s? He’s going to be good, but don’t see him being perennial Cy Young candidate. He looks like a solid 2 and maybe even an Ace, but by his age 33 season I would hope we have better/younger options.
  2. With the talk about Hiura struggling with fastballs right now.... What is the difference between the average MPH on fastballs from MLB to AAA? Gotta be a way to look it up, but I have no idea how. I wouldn't think there would be a drastic difference. The AAA bullpens obviously won't have 5 guys throwing 98+ like some MLB pens do, but you'd think the starters velocity would be pretty close.
  3. What happened to Peralta following Chase? Not really a reason to save him....
  4. Nobody is talking about it because they said before spring training there wasn’t an inning restriction. They aren’t protecting a 19 year old prospect, it’s a veteran pitcher in the middle of his career coming off two years rest.
  5. Has to be some sort of mechanical issue with Burnes to be this bad this year. Not high leverage enough excuse is a complete joke. Send him to San Antonio to get it figured out. He can still help us later this year.
  6. Nah, Barnes is still on the roster. Curious how they'll go with this one. Not sure Peralta makes sense in the bullpen the same way Burnes does. Would probably rather have him starting every 5 days, ready to come up in case of injury. It's probably a spot start for Anderson anyways, maybe two, before they call up Nelson. Counsel said last night that Peralta will pitch after Anderson on Saturday.
  7. Aguilar just earned his entire paycheck. That must have been fun, lol.
  8. Line up card Craig.... submit the lineup card.... Tick Tock buddy, people are waitin. I'll just stare at the MLB lineups page and keep hitting refresh until it appears... The Rays have their lineup in already, and their game starts a full 5 minutes after ours.... JEEEZ.
  9. This top 3 likely won't come tonight but it should soon. I don't think we see that this year baring Hiura hitting about .350 over his first 100 AB or so. Too many proven big league bats in the lineup to push Hiura into a spot that high in the order.
  10. Good thing they have 119 to go after this then. 119 to go doesn’t make this better now. He didn’t say anything about the season.
  11. For sure a grimace on the last swing, looks uncomfortable. Good AB though, fouled off good pitches.
