  1. Is it only home plate you can’t block? No way he could get to the base.
  2. Gifted early run. Let’s keep it to just one.
  3. Happy to hear some mic’d up people on the field, or at least strong mics at field level. Adds a little entertainment. Really thought that was a double off the bat, especially with Cain running.
  4. They are visiting Virginia this Thursday/Friday. Seems odd to travel that far to visit a school that isn't an option. By the sounds of it MSU only has 1 open scholarship, so they would either need to dump someone or keep 1 of the brothers off scholarship for a year. I hope you are right that WI is the likely destination, but I'm not getting too excited about it until they sign.
  5. ERA not the best reliever stat. It’s not like he was terrible, just seemed any big situation where we brought him in just to face a lefty it never worked.
  6. I suppose they are delirious by now though so I’ll cut them some slack No beer for a couple hours, some probably starting to have the hangover kick in.
  7. I suppose this is the problem. I expected one of the starting pitchers would be well-versed enough that you'd pinch hit them for the better chance at getting it down. I was honestly thinking they'd just PH with Woodruff (or another starter who is more practiced at bunting) I think they would have if they were not out of arms in the pen. Pretty much needed to ensure Chacin pitching was a last resort.
  8. Nice inning for Williams, and a couple nice plays by Thames in extras with the glove. Walk this thing off so we can all go to bed.
  9. Concerned yet? There are a LOT of posts that did not age well in this thread... including my own. I doubted the starting rotation, but thought we had enough arms in the pen to hide a few flaws. Neither side of the pen/rotation argument turned out well, and I don't think anyone saw it coming where both sucked this deep into the season. Right now we really need Anderson to return to the rotation when healthy, and getting a good Jimmy Nelson back would help as well, but man did every possible regression candidate happen so far.
