  1. He’s not a FA until 2028 when he’s 30. No need to throw money at him now. A lot can happen to a catcher in 4 years and they’re usually pretty beat up by 30 years old.
  2. Get someone up in the pen while this one’s still in reach
  3. Defense has been a huge part of the early success. When Santander couldn’t come up with that play last inning I literally thought that every one of the Brewers OF’s would’ve made that play. Hall giving up dingers doesn’t play into the defensive philosophy very well….
  4. The groundout to Adames to tie the game was hit really hard and right at him, kind of surprised he didn’t take a shot at the runner at home.
  5. I forgot about the scratchy shoulder issue, the 47 pitches makes more sense considering that. Probably wise to ramp him up slowly especially with the early off days for the pen to rest.
  6. No need to get fresh arms up with 2 off days in the next 4 days coming up.
  7. Just like we said, some mix of Hudson, Hudson, and Hudson will cover the next 3 innings, lol. Heck of an outing from the big lefty!
  8. 2 innings yesterday. Maybe available but was guessing he gets the day off, although 26 pitches isn’t terribly high.
  9. Makes sense to stick with Hudson with a lefty up, I didn’t look ahead.
  10. Lol, yep. Assuming the guys who’ve thrown 2 innings have they day off.
  11. Guessing some mix of Vieira, Milner, and Payamps to get through the next 3 innings….
  12. Glad they tacked one on, but hope the missed chances don’t come back to haunt us.
  13. Feels like he threw 25 pitches after there were 2 outs. Glad they got out of the inning but that will shorten up his outing. Going to need the pen to be good today.
  14. Gonna need some innings from Rea tomorrow, couple pen guys probably unavailable tomorrow. Im not bitter about Counsel leaving but I do know we’re 1.5 up on the scrubs.
  15. Probably just want Perkins defense in a close game. Sal no slouch defensively but Perkins better.
  16. Slid a little late but held the base, play on and stop crying.
  17. I’m prepared for a slow start from Hoskins, probably going to be a little rusty with a full year off.
  18. Every year I’ve been saying the Brewers just need to get to the playoffs with their big 3 healthy and they have a punchers chance. Well, that hasn’t worked. I have no issues with them moving off Burnes, especially with him disgruntled. The return seems fine for 1 year of a regressing SP. Yeah, he could post another Cy Young type year, but he could also repeat last year, regress more, or get hurt. The “run it back” approach hasn’t worked, glad they’re shaking things up a bit.
  19. The bend but don’t break is bending a lot right now…. Find a turnover please!
  20. They came through so fast I honestly thought it was a screen.
  21. Need one more stop from the defense.
  22. Yea, they need to flip the field a little at least. A couple first downs even is huge.
