  1. Or a complete game no hitter. Dude, your not supposed to say it! Knock on wood, or throw salt or something.
  2. Knowing they have help should let guys like Shaw and Aguilar relax and not press. Compared to the pre all star game week lineups
  3. I follow the team closely and forgot a couple of those guys even played for the Brewers. Repressed memories maybe My honest first thought was who the hell is Jake Elmore. Google search picture brought back some vague memories...
  4. Boy, after looking completely lost at the plate Thames has found the stroke again.
  5. Albers, Williams, Hader, Burnes, Jennings and Soria should be good to go Not sure on JJ or Corey This team could use more blowout type games to rest their pen while still winning. Being forced to really burn through our pen arms every win sucks. How about a starter throwing a complete game? I think we've had more players hit for the cycle in recent history.
  6. Williams, Hader, Burnes, Jennings and Soria should be good to go Not sure on JJ or Corey Albers was activated wasn't he?
  7. Too early for defensive replacements? As Shaw passes his first test, but on the left side.
  8. Good thing Kratz wasn't the trail runner there, run probably wouldn't have counted, lol
  9. I know this is sarcasm but it is hard to read meaning on the internet sometimes as well. Harper was a catcher prospect, he moved off of catcher because they wanted to protect his health and get him into the majors faster. Harper really probably could play catcher if they really wanted him to. Yea, but I don't think Harper or his agent would risk that 300 million sticking him behind the dish.
  10. Wonder if a small part of that was trying to catch Shaw off guard if he was covering?
  11. So many Money Ball movie quotes relate to the past 24 hours. Picture Shaw before the game... What's your biggest fear? The ball being hit in my general direction. No, seriously Uh, yea, that's really it.
  12. If Shaw can play 2B, there's no reason Harper can't catch for a couple months....
  13. They make it sound like he isn't available, which translates to he available but the price is crazy. Not much on the market this summer, Ramos and Grandal. Kind of surprising they aren't giving Nottingham a longer look.
  14. Pina is one of the best catchers in the game. Base runners don't dare run on him. His defense is much more important than Arcia's. What he does offensively is just gravy. Everyone should stop being a hater. Not only is he an invaluable part of this team, you could make an argument he is the team MVP. 53-35 before he went on the DL, 2-8 while is was on the DL, and now 4-3 after coming off the DL. He’s a good thrower, not a great defender, there’s a big difference. He would be an above average back up catcher, he’s not a starter for a playoff team. I like him, but he is what he is.
  15. We’re actually down to 1 hole in the lineup to fill. I’m fine with whatever Arcia can hit from here out. We need his glove and range more than ever now. I know there’s not a overwhelming amount of catching available but if we could find a upgrade it would be a very opposing lineup
  16. It’s Yelich Cain Moustakas Aguilar Shaw Thames Kratz Arcia Chacin Interesting to flip Cain and Yelich, guess to alternate LR
  17. Shaw will field balls hit near him. He’s going to have way below average range, and would be curious to see him turn a double play. The really odd part to me is this isn’t even a platoon type option. We face a Kershaw or MadBum like tonight you might still end up with Pérez or Saladino playing 3B?
  18. Rock just said on the post game that Shaw has been taking grounders at 2B the past week.
