  1. Seems like a lot to give up for a rental, as said, playing a position we don’t need filled. This just doesn’t fit the Stearns mold for building.
  2. Based on an earlier post that person might be Sogard If that happens, the wheels have fallen off the wagon!
  3. We’ve had so many guys regress that internal additions are bound to happen somehow through second half improvements. Braun, Shaw, Arcia, Santana, Pina, anyone taking Sogards AB
  4. Man Yelich stay hot! The base running too, he cut it off and I’m thinking it’s Yelich so he still might be able to stretch it. The camera pans back to the infield and he’s already pulling up, 3/4 of the way to second.
  5. That Arcia turn is appreciated after some of our D lately. Some guys just look good doing it, and he’s one of them. So smooth you take it for granted at times till you see the alternative for a while.
  6. If Longoria doesn't show up to the park tomorrow, Mad Bum will be the first one questioned. I didn't really realize until last night how somewhat sneaky good of a career that Longoria has had. Like, possibly HOF good. Playing in front of 8,000 people most nights doesn’t help with the recognition.
  7. That competitiveness is what drives guys to be good. Awesome to see because it meant we got the lead, but also love to watch guys who care that much each game they play.
  8. That was the farthest outside pitch I’ve ever seen someone get a bat on. Edit: Now puts it in play. Good job staying alive
  9. Just saw Thornburg got an extra innings win tonight... hope Will Smith doesn’t follow suit, just for old times sake.
  10. Oh man you are nuts. I have Anderson on my team, no way would I risk starting him tonight. This is the type of team that will go on a hit parade against Anderson. I don't like our outlook tonight. The Giants aren’t a very good offense, why do you think it’s a bad matchup for Anderson?
  11. I can't tell you when the last time I slept past 9 was. Getting up each day for work at 5 am and the better part of a decade in active duty military will do that to you. So will having kids, but I'm not there yet. Even if I go to bed at 2 am from being out at the bars.. my body is up and I'm awake at 6. Lots of fun. Wake up before the hang over... bold move Cotton! Nice pitching matchup tonight, as long as good Chase shows up. Hopefully MadBum doesn’t beat us with the bat.
  12. Because Knebel pitched more than one inning' date=' and they were all high stress pitches. And Soria is a closer.[/quote] None of this inning was high stress till now. He had 4 runs to work with. He's already pitched 3 straight days this year, unless he goes 30+ pitches he will be the "closer" tomorrow. I guess I consider when a pitcher is pitching crappy, even if he has a lead, that those are high stress to him as he is trying to do more than what he is able to at the time. It wasn't free and easy, he was fighting himself even early in the ninth. I guess, but stress is kind of being a closer. Just have a feeling if it's a save situation CC will trot him out there tomorrow
  13. Just not at all true other than the last two outings. Before that he gave up runs 1 out of 12 multiple inning appearances spanning last year and this. That one was a 2 inning outing right at the end of the year last year.
  14. Why? Because Knebel pitched more than one inning, and they were all high stress pitches. And Soria is a closer. None of this inning was high stress till now. He had 4 runs to work with. He's already pitched 3 straight days this year, unless he goes 30+ pitches he will be the "closer" tomorrow.
  15. Why? The unearned run? Knebel not even to 20 pitches yet. Barring more trouble, he will be available tomorrow. Well... There's the more trouble.
  16. Why? The unearned run? Knebel not even to 20 pitches yet. Barring more trouble, he will be available tomorrow.
  17. I doubt it. It's a "save situation", so he probably stays because stats are important apparently
  18. Jesus is the happiest person that it got out. He was about to have to sprint, and Eddie was already windmilling.
  19. Yelich leading off always helps, now just get him in.
