  1. Seems odd to think of the Dodgers with Machado, Muncy, Kemp as their 2-4
  2. I like that they went back to Cain and Yelich at the top, but boy our 5-9 is rough. Saladino, Perez, Pina, Broxton, Miley is not a consistent run producing group. Let’s hope Miley is on, and we get some early runs.
  3. Took in my first Trats game of the year last night. Was really impressed with the glove of Lara. Not sure if he’s played that way all year, but yesterday handled 4 really tough plays, threw on the run, charged a chopper and bare handed it. Came away impressed, for my first game this year, he stood out to me for sure.
  4. Stearns didn’t over pay for a rental, I’m not sure how that’s failing. I don’t want to mortgage the future for a rental that most likely gets us to the playoffs, but not the WS. I don’t think Machado makes us a WS team, and he’s gone after this year. Melvin pulled the trigger on an all in year. We also we terrible in seasons after that. The current rebuild has not peaked by my estimation. I think our window may be next year or even two years from now. I like passing on the rental. If we can improve with a guy under control for 2-3 years, that fits the course better imo
  5. I commented in the IGT last night, and have not had time to fully read every post here, but a couple things jump out at me: 1). I worry about Josh as a person, I don’t want to crucify him over it. The comments were made at 17, which is much different than 13/14. I’m worried comments that deep at an age of 17 may be true beliefs. Maybe a product of his environment then, maybe not. His teammates, those who truely know him now, probably have the best gauge on it and their comments will be important. I hope it’s not who he is, but those were rough to read. 2). Lorenzo Cain is a true leader. One of the stories right after the game last night made a comment that Cain had already talked to Hader. If he went directly to Hader and had that talk that fast, shows to me what type of player/presence he is in our organization. 3). I posted this in the IGT but how those sat there unnoticed by Brewers personnel baffles me. In today’s age how does an organization not have a person responsible for monitoring players social media accounts. People say free speech, but that is NOT what free speech protects. If the Brewers tell a player to delete a post they feel could be detrimental to the team, the player deletes it, period, and that in no way violates free speech. More people dropped the ball on this than just Josh Hader.
  6. I was young and dumb once too, but I never typed things like that. He may have set a record for number of demographic groups offended in one night. Pretty shocking insight into the mind of Mr Hader. At 16/17 years old, you know exactly what your typing. Possibly the most shocking part of this for me is in today’s society, how do the Brewers not have an employee assigned to check, monitor, and clear any players social media accounts????
  7. Hoskings didn't wait till his landed, his pitcher was going early which is smart, not like they are going to take any off the board. I'm ok with him not advancing, don't risk an oblique or something stupid swinging hard when your tired. He wasn't embarrassing, he hit a dozen.
  8. 12 is legit, Hoskings just got way more swings in it seemed like.
  9. Woof... 17 is a lot to hit. He’s got his work cut out for him.
  10. Just caught MLB Tonight with Sale and Hader as the guests. Really cool interview to watch. Crazy the national spot light that Josh has put himself in this year.
  11. How many times do you need to get burned trying to go lefty lefty? Other than Hader we don't have a good lefty. Williams has thrown as well as anyone lately, Jennings has been crappy lately. Why not just let Williams finish it?
  12. So stupid, I haven't ripped on Counsel, but that was the dumbest thing I seen in a long time
  13. Take out the guy who hasn't given up a run in 7 appearances to put in a guy who hasn't given up a run since.... Well.... Yesterday....
  14. Sure hope Williams, been the best option lately. Glimpse of the future maybe.
  15. Lol, this guys not even on the roster, but will throw a clean three up three down inning...
  16. Bottom of the order up, good relievers already used, and Pirates have a full pen except the guy with the 7 ERA who already was used... Doesn't look good.
