Well if we want him to be a starter he is going to have countless great moments turned into terrible ones. So might as well get him the experience. Worked out, now get him some runs and a win!

Kind of flirting with fire throwing Burnes back out there. Such a high moment to get out of the jam. Now if he gives up a run here it turnes a huge positive into a negative for a young player...

To finish this year even, he’s the equivalent of trading for a bullpen arm. Mid season acquisition without giving anyone up. Good looking young arm! Crazy we have those now.

Villar hasn't made bonehead plays this year. Perez OBP .282 compared to Villar at .315 That's a huge difference for a struggling offense.

If only we had a 2B with slightly more range than Perez, who also hits better, and has more speed on the base paths..... I don't get what Villar needs to do to play more than Perez... Play for a different team. Unfortunately Probably, but it baffles me. He's been more disciplined on the bases, he's been more patient at the plate. On any given day he can be a spark that we need right now. He sometimes single handedly creates a run.

Yeah, but how many holes can we realistically fill? Dozier at 2B would be pretty huge. Hopefully we can get some internal improvement with Arcia and Santana figuring it out in AAA. Healthy Braun would be nice for a change. You realize Dozier is hitting .230 this year and has the same WAR as Villar right? If he’s going to be huge he needs to figure it out at the plate.

It's hard not to. These guys are bad at their jobs and it's really become a problem. Or they've always been bad and it's just more exposed now in this era of modern technology. Either way, there are plenty of ways to get a more accurate strike zone if these guys can't do their jobs properly. I keep thinking machines will be used, but it never gets there... one can hope!

It changes at bats, guys start to protect and it just compounds the issue. At least with a machine, where it is in the first is where it is. Would be curious if certain pitchers with different movements could take more advantage of the hard set zones, but discussion for a different day.
