  1. I'm far more nervous with Knebel in the 9th than I would be with Albers, Hader, or Jeffress right now.
  2. Just got home and see I haven't missed much. Chacin has a lot of pitches for a 2 hit shut out through 5
  3. Cain Yellich Aguilar Shaw Santana Villar Pina Arcia Peralta Owings Lamb Goldschmidt Marte Dyson Ahmed Mathis
  4. The useage of Logan is really odd to me. Counsel made Knebel pitch like 3 times in low leverage spots when he came back, but yet Logan is activated and keeps getting trotted out in tie games late. Makes no sense to me.
  5. My first thought was unreal, but it's been so real for so long that it's now expected every time he's on the mound.
  6. Walks are very frustrating, and even more so when the pitcher has good stuff. Some pitchers need to nibble, Peralta does not.
  7. Wife and kids gone all weekend. I was productive all day, but now grilled some wings, made creamed asparagus over mashed potatoes, and am eating in my living room and watching Brewers baseball. Life is good. Hopefully a good game or I may have to wander to a local establishment to stay entertained, and I do not make good decisions when unsupervised.....
  8. Villar seems drastically more patient at the plate lately, and seems to be getting a lot more pitches he can drive.
  9. Not much past success off of Gibson, but not a lot of sample size either. Hopefully we can get to him tonight, with Suter you expect to have to get about 5 or so to have a chance.
  10. I can't believe this is a thread. She does fine and is a great fit for this Brewers team because she is bilingual.
  11. Cain Yellich Aguilar Shaw Santana Villar Saladino Bandy Woodruff
  12. No Braun again Saladino at SS and Bandy catching. If Pérez and Braun are unavailable again then Pérez needs to be DL. He’s very replaceable for 10 days. Jeffress was also unavailable yesterday due to a stiff neck, hopefully he can go today if needed.
  13. Cain is going to regress, no doubt. He still will live up to his contract better than Braun aging. Cain is more of a contact hitter than a power, run producer. His biggest drop off will probably come with speed decrease, but I expect him to still be serviceable at the end of that contract. Even if it's in a diminished role.
  14. According to the JS we pinch hit Bandy last night because Braun and Perez were unavailable and CC wanted to save the versitile Saladino in case he was needed later in the game. There have been a lot of times this year already that outcomes of games have been affected by having a short bench because of nagging injuries. With a 10 day DL there is no excuse for playing MLB games short handed. If Perez has a sore wrist and you know Braun isn't available, the DL Perez. It's not like he's irreplaceable for the 10 days, he's a bench player. Get any healthy body up here. I'm sick of hearing about what Counsel can't do because of injuries. Make the moves and play with a full or very near full roster.
  15. Villar fails at breaking the bat over his knee... Fitting end.
  16. Glad to see Shaw removed after the display of complete laziness.
  17. Yep. Bandy pinch hitting was really baffling to me. Nothing about him says him leading off an inning gives us a good chance to score. Also leaves you vulnerable defensively later in the game. Just odd.
  18. Would be nice to fight back in this one. Shame to waste that start from Chacin.
  19. Lefties are what like 4-5 off Logan now? He hasn't really had any results that scream "throw me into a tie game with runners on"
  20. Already had Albers up as well. Given the Dbacks strong pen, one run here might end it. Also would have stuck to our lock down guys here.
  21. They've got calls off the plate on multiple occasions. Villar, Santana, Yellich all with rough calls against them. Then seems like our guys got squeezed a few times.
  22. Yeah, really odd choice there with Perez and Braun on the bench. Saladino also been swinging it well and runs, which is ideal to lead off an inning as well. Heck, Suter might have been a better choice.
  23. Last nights annoyed me too. The checker pattern on top of the shoulders spazed out on tv.
