  1. Posted during a game Middleton put up 31 pts in 26 minutes. One game is supposed to change my perception of him as a player? He did it against a Warriors team who will be lucky to make the playoffs. Can he do it for a 7 game series vs LA? He’s had games like that every year. He’s a legit all-star, he’s a #2 on 90% of NBA teams, but I don’t think the Bucks win a title with him as the number two option.
  2. I can’t watch this game and convince my brain Milwaukee is the team wearing blue. Obviously too early to judge this team, but my gut feeling is they have the same issue as the past few seasons. They don’t have a true #2. I’ve always viewed Middleton as a #3 on a championship team. They haven’t added a true 1B or 2. Seems like a top 3 team in the East, but not a championship team. Hope I’m wrong.
  3. Looked up ratings out of curiosity. The highest rated games came all the way back in 2014-2015. OSU/ORE - 34.14 million OSU/ALA - 28.27 ORE/FSU - 28.16 This past year: LSU/CLEM - 25.59 OSU/CLEM - 21.15 LSU/OU - 17.21
  4. 8 team playoff 5 power 5 conferences get an automatic bid 3 at large, but 1 has to be a non-power 5 First round might have blowouts, yep, so what? So does every other sport and even football at lower levels. If Cincy was playing Alabama in the first round, I would tune in to see how long they could hang with them. The feeling that your team can go undefeated and still not even sniff the playoff is going to turn off some fans, it's getting frustrating enough that the Alabama/Clemson part 7 is not even worth watching. The biggest change that needs to occur is reducing the number of scholarships. I think NCAA football needs to find a way to spread out talent.
  5. I'm in the group that switched to youtube tv last year. I will stick with that until baseball starts because they have everything else that I need. If it's not back on by baseball season, then I will drop that as well. I have enough to do in the spring/summer to not need the TV service.
  6. Making Vegas a lot of money by wrecking 90% of all parlays this week.
  7. And that's a real shame, because while Mertz is clearly the more talented player, it's equally as clear that Coan is the better football player. If Mertz was going to be a great player, it didn't take long for Madison to turn him into yet another totally mediocre quarterback. The only thing that made Mertz better than Hornibrook in yesterday's game was that he didn't throw three passes directly at opposing players. The guy looked like he had zero confidence and, the worse thing of all, it didn't look like his teammates had any confidence in him either. And that's rare for the Badgers, as they have a pretty long history of the players really rallying around shaky quarterbacks like Joel Stave. What really bothers me about Coan is that he was cleared to play in early December and the coaches still wouldn't put him in the game after the golden boy recruit got KO'ed. Can't blame the guy for transferring. Despite all the train-wrecks that happened during the year, the 3-3 record still put them in third place in the division, only behind Northwestern and Iowa. Overall decent enough results but it sure would have been nice to have had a closer score against Iowa. Special shout-out to Jon Dietzen who came back, had a good year and was a real savior in yesterday's game. Coan was never cleared to play in live games. How is it clear that Coan is the better football player? Did we ever see him play without Jonathan Taylor, Cephus, Davis, Pryor, etc? Coan had a LOT more weapons around him every single time he stepped on the field. We saw Mertz play in a Covid disrupted season, after having it himself, and with a depleated skill position group.
  8. My 4 would be Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Texas AM I think the committee goes with Notre Dame over AM.
  9. Florida has it cut to 6 but wasted a TO on the 2 pt conversion. Need an onside kick now.
  10. If Florida could find a way to beat Alabama that would throw a huge wrench into the selection. I love chaos so I’m all for it. They got it cut to a one score game. Guess it would take a TO or onside kick. The defense isn’t putting up much resistance. Alabama OL is gigantic.
  11. Wow, that was a shot to the head of Bridgewater that was missed too.
  12. Did you really want to see a fumbled kick return again? Run for 4 seconds and slide down
  13. I would’ve tried to return that kick at all costs. Burn the 2 minute warning
  14. So many other sports expanded their playoffs, can’t believe college football didn’t. In a year as crazy as this it absolutely should’ve been an 8 team playoff, or at minimum a 6 team with 2 byes.
  15. We have to be to double digits on bubble screens.
  16. Passing game is out of sync. Feels like 19 of the 20 throws have been 3-5 yards down field.
  17. I would love it, but no way they do it.
  18. So were his fantasy owners, namely me. So, did you want Jones to be tackled too? I literally pictured a dude in his living room screaming “SET THE EDGE” at the TV.
  19. MVS always gets just enough of people in the run game. Nice pick up of the blitzing safety on the first down carry.
  20. As that play is developing you know at least a little part of Rodgers is thinking, catch him, catch him, catch him.
  21. Saw Collin Wilder stated that he was for sure coming back next year. It will be interesting to see the full list of those that stay. Wisconsin football and basketball could drastically benefit from a couple seniors sticking around.
  22. I honestly don't see what this changes. With 38 million extra or whatever it was on a supermax deal with the Bucks, I never thought there was a chance he didn't sign. He's not going to pass up that money. If he decides he wants to leave, he's still going to leave. The NBA has proven over the past couple years that stars will get their way when they demand to be moved somewhere. I still think the Bucks have a year or two at the most to win a championship, if not, he will demand out. I honestly looked at him signing the deal as a formality really with that much extra money on the line.
  23. There were 89 combined points! That was the most entertaining game I’ve seen all year, and the biggest plays down the stretch were all throws from Jackson.
  24. Lutz missed FG should seal Saints loss
