  1. Replays would help to know, but we got the JV broadcast apparently.
  2. As soon as he puts cleats on we’re going to mount a comeback.
  3. 5 yard out on 3rd and 8. Is McCarthy in the booth? So much for having a QB who can make downfield throws.
  4. Mix in a fumble and some incomplete passes and you have WI/IA. Pretty sure the under is safe
  5. What is Bakhtiari 40 time? He beat Jones to the end zone
  6. St. Brown just refuses to cut upfield on those bubbles. Does everything he can to get to the sidelines
  7. Pre throw contact legal there because they’re on the line of scrimmage.
  8. Tight ends causing some match up issues early on.
  9. This team severely lacks WR depth. They need weapons for next season to emerge other than just Dike. I know Wisconsin doesn’t get many grad transfers but maybe that should be an area of focus. There has to be some graduate or juco kids that can help.
  10. St. Brown gave up a lot of extra yardage just to make sure he got out of bounds on that jet sweep. If he cuts that up there's quite a bit of room there.
  11. I guess that is one way to try and make some relevance out of a zero win season. I thought it was a neat thing, till I saw the highlights. She was kicking FG in warm ups from the 5 yard line and barely making it over the crossbar. I can kick that far. I know a few players from the USWNT have kicked 40+ yarders. A girl who actually had a good leg would’ve been cool. This was 100% PR stunt.
  12. Who else do you think Northwestern loses to? If they end up with the same record Northwestern has the head to head win.
  13. I just realized this year didn't count for eligibility today and I thin they can stay on without violating scholarship #'s. Even bigger is it applies to all players so the freshmen can actually play 5 years? Seems like a lot of deep benches for the next few seasons if I am understanding it correctly. I think Reuvers and Potter maybe move on to play pro somewhere as they are athletic bigs but not sure that Davison wouldn't come back if allowed. Trice and Ford are in their 6th year out of high school now so if they can make money in Europe or somewhere it's probably time. Even 2 staying to play with Wahl, Carlson, and Davis gives you an experienced starting 5. Otherwise next year is a really young team.
  14. That would cost about $2.2M for the final 5 games if they claimed him ($436k/game). I'd expect no one claims him, however. Does he fetch a comp pick if he re-signs elsewhere? A team with a lot of cap space might claim him for that reason. The 2.2 million seems like a huge overpay just for a comp pick. Plus I believe NFL teams can roll over unused cap money to the next season.
  15. They beat EIU by 25 compared to WI 10. I know not a true comparison but they handled their business against a team the Badgers relaxed on in the second half.
  16. The broadcast talking about how it’s a free red shirt year for everyone. I’m really curious if any Badgers seniors in FB or BB are allowed to return, or want to return for that matter. I know WI didn’t allow last year’s athletes to return citing financials.
  17. LOL, that’s good stuff. I’m still covering, and Gard should strongly consider getting some walk ons into the game.
  18. I took Pine Bluff +37 so of course the Badgers start 10-0. Play some D for cripes sakes. Here’s to a deep bench night...
  19. #4 Virginia lost to San Francisco today. They have a knack for large upsets in the recent past.
  20. MVS sustained an achilies injury in practice, listed as questionable vs Bears.
  21. I totally get that thought process, but my big concern is where he gets drafted. I’m not sure he’s good enough to do this coming off a year with 2 games to show anything. Seems like a solid senior season on a good team would have boosted the draft stock. Now, with not much on film and an injury on top of it, how high in the draft can he actually go???
  22. Packers are bringing in Tavon Austin for a workout. Probably seeing if he can fill the PR/KR role.
  23. I didn’t think of him as a top 2-3 rounds guy. Now your leaving your team in the middle of a season, leaving with and injury, probably not going to have a combine, and that’s the optics your giving NFL teams heading into the draft? Hard to fault kids for any decision they make in these crazy times, but this seems really odd. Is he projected to be drafted? He’s not someone I considered leaving early, let alone a year and a half early with an injury on top of it.
  24. The fake punt call was awful. If they convert they still have to drive the length of the field. There’s still probably less than a 50 percent chance of scoring even if you convert that. That’s a gigantic risk for very little reward. If you’re between the 40’s maybe the risk becomes worth it. No way from your own 24....
  25. I think you're really-really underestimating how good of a player Jrue Holliday is. I think the addition of Holliday makes Middleton your 3rd best player. The problem is Holiday is our second best player, and that’s not good enough. To win a title they needed a second super star. They don’t have the resources to bring one here and I don’t envision a scenario where one signs here. I think Giannis signs the extension and tries one last time to win here, but they will fall short again and he’ll demand the trade.
