  1. Haderade tastes especially good after a 5-game losing streak! Watch out NL Central ... we're coming for ya'!
  2. I liked it better when baseball had only natural lighting from the Sun or Moon only!
  3. Because Castillo is a righty. You absolutely must go with the lefty-righty matchup, don't you? "Me" says, "Nooooooooooooooooooooo!" Shaw does not need anymore humiliation. Brewers fans do need need any more frustration. That's how I see this situation.
  4. How about Jeff Suppan or Ben Sheets or Dave Bush or Graeme Lloyd or Pete Ladd or Rollie Fingers or Chris Bosio or Jerry Augustine or Craig Coshun? As I've previously mentioned, one of my best friends, Brett, knows Rollie. He coached his 12 year old daughter's softball team year before last. Maybe I should call him, and ask to see if Rollie would be interested in the job. Then again, I doubt Rollie would be happy working with a less talented staff. I would call Brett tomorrow! Maybe Rollie could be the bullpen coach if CC is hooked on Hook, yet. I would like to see all the Brewers pitchers adopt the handlebar mustache in the meantime. It could be the kind of group therapy thing that would get them all going!
  5. Bye bye CC Sabathia! Bye bye Prince Fielder! Bye bye Zack Greinke! Catch lightning in a bottle or forget it ... if you're small-market. Royals caught lightning in a bottle for two years and those two years have been surrounded by many years of miserable teams. Same is true with the Brewers ... same is true of many similar-sized-market teams ... meanwhile, the Cubs, Yankees, Astros, Red Sox, Dodgers can ride the wave for very long periods because they can retain and acquire "stars" so much more easily. Anybody and everybody who knows anything about the MLB knows this. Some of gotten so used to it, they simply accept it, but it's not fair. In some way the small-market teams are a sort of minor-league developmental system for the big-market teams to acquire their stars when they become too expensive. It's a joke! A bad joke! Ask Bud Selig! In his heart, he knows this is true!
  6. In a sport where the field is literally a different size in every stadium I'm not sure this is strongest argument. Oh, good grief! Both teams in a game play on that same field! You will have to do better than that!
  7. Sports is supposed to be fair. They don't raise the hoop for certain teams. They don't make the bases farther apart for certain teams. They don't make some teams have to get 20 yards each time for a first down. The strike zone is the same size for each team. But when it comes to the ability to acquire "stars" or retain "stars," all of a sudden the MLB plays by different rules for certain teams. Not cool! Not fair! That's not the ethics of true sports and competition!
  8. Baseball isn't going to implement a salary cap. Just isn't going to happen. Don't you think it should, though? Let's be fair here -OR- call it what it is -- an unfair professional league that is stacked for bigger market teams. Major Leaning Baseball ... Leaning towards the big cities/markets.
  9. the explanation is the Braves and Cubs have more resources than the Brewers. I know that's not an explanation people want to hear, but that's the explanation. Yep. And by resources, you mean money. More money. Simple as that. And that is something that is very, very, very wrong of the MLB!!! No teams in a fair professional league should have a huge competitive advantage because they have lots more money to play with.
  10. How about Jeff Suppan or Ben Sheets or Dave Bush or Graeme Lloyd or Pete Ladd or Rollie Fingers or Chris Bosio or Jerry Augustine or Craig Coshun?
  11. I agree completely! I am more chagrined by the awful mis-management of Shaw than I am with Shaw himself. He's trying, no doubt. He just doesn't have it, though. Management needs to realize this and stop furthering our chances of losing games because of him and exposing Shaw to further humiliation. I don't think his wrist/hand is right, yet. What other explanation is there? It really doesn't matter what the reason is. The results have been speaking very loudly for way too long! Terrible mismanagement here, truly.
  12. The pieces are falling into place. Except for that Chase Anderson three inning stuff. If it turns out like you say ... and it has a chance ... I will send you an autographed picture of myself!
  13. We've been spoiled by him ... and Moose! Call the park ranger ... a moose is loose! There's nothing shawful about those two! Let's go Brew Crew!
  14. We get it. In your universe...the sky is falling. No need to beat a dead horse... My bad I forgot. Give me a B!! Give me an R!! Let's go guys!! We can do this!! This team is playing well. Pitching is fine. Shaw is going to turn it around any day now. That's the spirit! You have Brewer fever! There's no needed cure for that!
  15. Maybe you're missing David Stearn's 10-year-plan like Bulldogboy said a few posts back.
