  1. David Stearns pretty much talking about Houser, Yelich, yada, yada ... nothing about the out-makers and run-givers ... every team has tough stretches, yada, yada ... talks like a robot ... that's what makes a great general manager, I hope!
  2. Defense matters and Santana is pretty bad at it. You cannot sell me that line ... I don't buy it!
  3. Domingo > Gamel ... Domingo has 15 bombs already with a .279 average as of yesterday ... that was a throwaway trade, sadly. Throw away a proven run-producer with lots of pop for a career backup. I will cheer for Gamel, but it's stuff like this that makes me think that the Brewers have too much of a "small-market" mentality. We cannot afford too many good players, I guess, right?
  4. I like the Puig sprint to first base. We need some spirit like this on our team. Where's Nyjer Morgan, Carlos Gomez, and Dante Bichette?
  5. Keeping Hiura in the minors is Shawful!
  6. It sounds like Counsell wants to win now (this season), but there is some inconsistency here when he says this about Nelson, but doesn't say it about some of our position players.
  7. Yes! This team has enough talent to win the division again and make noise in the playoffs once again. This team needs to bring up Hiura, though, and bench Shaw for at least a month. I think Arcia will be fine -- though letting Perez or Saladino play a couple days a week might not be a bad idea while Arcia is "cool" or "cold." Grandal/Braun and Thames should play first base; Aguilar will have to be a pinch-hitter until an injury for one of those 1B platooning regulars occurs. Cain will need to sit against some righties/Gamel is good enough to not rot on the bench while Cain continues to demonstrate an inability to hit against righties as he has in the past. Houser/Peralta have to replace Nelson in the rotation ... Nelson needs to go back to the minors. Do these things and the rest of the NL Central will be shaking in their boots!
  8. Well, I want him "out" -- "out" of the lineup for a good month or so, at least. There were plenty of outs in our lineup tonight outside of Yelich.
  9. Nah, I've been told that if you squint your eyes and turn your head slightly to the left, everything is actually really good.
  10. Though we're getting whipped again, it's always nice to see Puig strike-out and look frustrated.
  11. I've seen SOOO many of your posts, I read it carefully. If they do the things you want them to do they'll be fine, yeah, I get it. What happens when Hiura struggles up here? Which WILL happen. He struck out in 1/3rd of his PA's and that's when he was doing well. I mean, I already know, you'll say he's overrated and to trade him before his stock drops, so it's a hypothetical. For somebody named HiAndTight, you seem like you are overly defensive of high and tight fastballs (a metaphor for one fan's honest and heartfelt critique of the team's management not making moves quicker on guys who have been struggling immensely all season). Take it easy, sir. We all want to see the Brewers win.
  12. Of course they will ... as long as we stand pat with our season-long-under-performers. Yup, season's over! One day after falling out of first place by half a game...despite having two of our middle of the order bats struggle badly and having an incredibly tough schedule to start the season, the Brewers are clearly done for. And we all know Stearns is scared to make a move. He won't do anything. In fact, I'm pretty sure he's trying to lose. Oh my ... I wish you would read my posts more carefully ...
  13. Of course they will ... as long as we stand pat with our season-long-under-performers.
  14. With the exception of the fan-base, I feel sorriest for Craig Counsell who is forced to trot out these massively under-performing players night after night. And, then he is forced to talk to the media every day, and make excuses for them.
  15. Cain may need to platoon for awhile with Gamel. He really struggles against righties, especially.
  16. Shaw is simply up there hoping for a walk after the count went 3-0 ... not a good sign.
