  1. The team needs a shakeup in the roster very quickly. This aloof false confidence is not gonna' cut it. Shaw ... you're outta' here. Aguilar ... take a seat for awhile. Arcia ... take a seat for awhile. Nelson ... try to get ready at AAA. Braun/Grandal/Thames at 1B only. Aguilar only pinch-hits. Saladino at SS for a week while Arcia pinch-hits occasionally. Hiura at 2B. No brainer. (Moose back at 3rd) Houser/Peralta take Nelson's spot in the rotation. Let's do this yesterday!!! Let's be proactive ... not very slowly reactive. Small market teams gotta' be smarter! Come on, Stearns!
  2. Hey, Stearns and Attanasio ... if you want to see more fans in the stands, give us/Shaw a break, and get Hiura in that lineup!
  3. I think the Milwaukee Brewers have not been as successful as other teams simply because the MLB does not share TV revenue like the NFL does. There is no salary cap, either! Big markets have a huge competitive advantage! That is why it's sweet to beat out the Chicago Cubs!
  4. If Stearns does not make a move on him by the time this team is back in Milwaukee, then Shaw has something on Stearns, I think. It's inexplicable to keep putting up with his miserable bat.
  5. Well, that's a .167 clip. He's hit .170 for the season. He is steady, at least.
  6. Sample size is too small to draw those conclusions So, Hiura's AAA numbers mean nothing? Cain would not hit like Hiura at AAA like Hiura has, either. Hiura is a pure hitter that has proven himself at every level ... Cain is in decline this season.
  7. I don't care what Counsell thinks, actually. Changes need to be made. That is fairly obvious. I'm not saying we should bench Cain. Just move him down in the order until he starts getting on base better. This is not rocket science. But, it is based on probability. Hiura is more likely to get on base than is Cain. He and Cain have proved this all of 2019.
  8. If you think Counsell would have Hiura at the top of the line-up even if here were up right now, I have bridge to sell you. And no, I'm not disagreeing that Hiura shouldn't be up. He makes a lot more sense than Cain and his .300 OBA.
  9. Taking a page out of Arcia's book, maybe? I like a ball-hogging shortstop, though.
  10. The point is this: if we had a better offensive player in the lineup at the top of the order ... we might not be behind now ... we might not be bleeding so much as we are in this west-coast trip.
