  1. Doesn't Gio need his change-up to be successful? That doesn't work ito well in Denver. More the breaking stuff that gets affected in high altitude. Gio is actually a good choice to pitch here. Ok, good.
  2. Abortion? I couldn't watch it today. Well they won. The defenses both played really well. Wisconsin couldn’t get it going with the ball. I’m glad it was at Camp Randall. If it were on the road it had all the makings of a northwestern special. OIC
  3. This is what I was thinking last night. We had won a bunch of games in a row and we were probably due for a stinker. I'd rather we get that bad game out of the way now and not in the WC game against the Nats if we don't catch the Cards. Let's hope Braun's calf isn't serious.
  4. Brauny has been great during this stretch.
  5. Boy, this team in CO really fell off compared to last year.
  6. Yup. All of this couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch. If this is the beginning of the end for them all the better.
  7. Yelich could still win the NL batting title, however.
  8. I know you were jesting but the second sentence of your post has some truth to it. They lost their leader and rallied around each other so this is a part of why they had the success this month that they did.
  9. I see this a lot, but it actually has little to do with expanded roster. In fact, he actually crunches playing time. Grandal catching every day, no rest for any of the starters really. Uses the same, top 7 or 8 relievers over and over. Hes not using 35-38 guys, he's using 25. And really, 20 as much as humanly possible. September has been about the 3 pitching acquisitions, Suter and Hiura coming back, and the team as a whole putting their game face on, and that part is definitely due to CC. Having Woody back for the post season will also be huge if we can get into the divisional round (I'm assuming Lyles will start in any tiebreaker/WC game).
  10. You are right. I have groused about some of his moves this year in numerous threads. I am happy to say I didn't know what was really going on in that locker room/clubhouse.
  11. Gotta love baseball. And no, this doesn't mean the Cubs are guaranteed to get swept at Busch this weekend. The best part is it doesn't matter what the Cubs do from here on out. They can't catch us or the Cards.
  12. Too cool watching CC address the team. Thanks guys. My battery is getting low so I'm gonna call it a nite. See you all tomorrow.
  13. Was this shown on the FSN broadcast? I feel like I've seen every bit of the postgame coverage, but didn't catch this. The Brewers just threw it up on their official Twitter feed. Darn, I'm not on twitter. Can I still see it elsewhere?
  14. What did CC say? I"m watching Fox Sports WI and they didn't show that.
