  1. Yes, our pitching is great but lately it seems like if our opponent gets a couple of runs we are screwed. I voiced this concern a few times the last couple of weeks of the regular season and some here told me not to worry, that we were resting players and saving them for the post season. How unfortunate if we squander this opportunity because we can't hit our way out of a paper bag.
  2. If we can't get any timely hits off this shaky bullpen this was the last game at home in 2021. The only hope we have is if we continue to play better on the road than we do at "Miller Park" (it will always be that name to me).
  3. Say it ten more times for the people on the back. You don't need to score a lot of runs but it is hard to win when you don't.
  4. His ability to get walks is the only thing I find appealing about his game at the plate right now.
  5. It's pretty close between him and Jeff Hammonds. Hammonds was actually 'ok' his first year before he got hurt. He was probably on pace to be about a 2-ish WAR guy. He was brutal his 2nd season, when he played most of a full season, and he played 10 games, and somehow in that short time span put up a negative .4 WAR. I don't even wanna extrapolate that over a full season. I don't even think you can say "AT LEAST JBJ IS PLAYING GOOD DEFENSE!" at this point. He's striking out at an absurd pace, and he's not hitting nearly enough to justify him playing even semi-regularly. He's bad. I hung on for a long long time hoping he'd start hitting even like .220 and smacking a few doubles or homers or something, but it never materialized. I guess we're gonna see next year if he does anything at all to redeem himself. Let's not forget Jonathan Schoop.
  6. C-ya Friday. If you think this team is gonna flip a switch on Friday I have swamp land for sale in AZ.
  7. They haven't had a good September and are fortunate they did a lot of heavy lifting before then, that much is certain. Whether or not they can turn it back on remains to be seen. I’m not sure baseball is a flip a switch sport. Not like say, basketball is. When do the Bucks start...?
  8. Utterly ridiculous if he got hurt today First Williams and now Burnes. Makes perfect sense.
  9. It's 10. PM here. I should go to bed....
  10. Two innings for Burnes? Is CC throwing in the towel this early? Screw it. This is ridiculous.
  11. We as a fan base don't really know, because the Brewers have never, ever been in this position. CC cans say whatever he wants about wanting to win these games but we are seeing B lineups almost every game and he is using the last guys out of the bullpen an awful lot. Meanwhile, the Cards and Ddodgers are still playing for positioning. These games just aren't being played out like the will be in the playoffs. No. We are playing our starters and our starting pitching looks the same. I hope I''m wrong but we don't look like a contender by any stretch.
  12. Yes, it was sorta fun winning the division but if you fall apart afterwards who cares?
  13. If our best pitcher can't shut 'em down we aren't gonna do much in the post season. It was fun while it lasted.
  14. I realize these games since we wrapped up the division don't mean anything but you don't want to be playing like garbage right before the post season starts either.
  15. I just hope it is because the Cards have our number because if we continue to play like this we won't get out of the NLDS this time.
  16. Yes, they can still win their division but it’s not looking good. The Giants magic number to clinch is just 2 and they play the struggling Padres this weekend. Well, the Dodgers are playing the struggling Brewers this weekend too...
  17. Is there a chance he will not be on the roster after the regular season ends?
  18. What I'd love to know is what could he have been so frustrated with that he would punch a wall after his team just clinched the division and 2nd seed? It sounds like this young man has anger management issues.
  19. Yep. Plus we aren’t going to play the cardinals anyways I would prefer a very rested bullpen. Guys like boxberger need a series off or more I sure hope not. I'm sick of these clowns and this winning streak they are on. This can't go on much longer. I almost want them to win out and lose big time to LA or SF.
  20. Sunday night I went to espn.com to check in on general sports news. They had at the Cardinals winning streak as one of their headlines but not the Brewers division clinch. I rarely get upset about sports issues, but that really struck a nerve. A sweep to return the favor would be incredible right now. Don't go to ESPN for Brewers news. They never report anything positive about us it seems.
